| Hi Kris, The foods look fine. I'm not sure how much salad you actually eat (you should have smthg like 2 cups of green veggies & 1 cup of 'other' veggies), if your bacon is cured with sugar or not, or if the dressing you use has only 'legal' ingredients. Maybe you could tell us more about these. A problem might be that you are not eating enough fat, but it's hard to say without knowing the food quantities. You should aim for 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein. Also, make sure you are eating close to your BMR and drink plenty of water (as a rule of thumb, half your body weight in lbs = amount of water in oz). You said you have problems losing weight... Do you have a lot to lose? One is expected to lose 5-10% excess weight during induction, so if you have only a few pounds to lose it's normal to be slower.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Man if that's all I ate I would be starving! LOL Sounds like you are good with the veggies but how about some fat. This diet is all about adding some fat in there. Olive oil, butter, mayo. I mean don't go nuts and eat a stick of butter or anything (gag), but if you add some fat Atkins works better from what I have read on these boards. I still consider myself a newbie but I could never survive on that. But then again I need to add more veggies like you have and I'd be so much better off. My menu today was Breakfast: Mexican cheese omelet with 1oz cheese and green peppers decaf coffee with heavy cream Snack: olives Lunch: Chicken salad with lettuce on flat skillet flax bread (onion flavored) Snack: Cheese cloud decaf coffee heavy cream Dinner: two turkey burger patties, with cheese 1/2 oz each, bacon and mustard, green beans, spinach Water throughout the day.

I think it may look like your protein is pretty high (compared to fat) but I am guessing. Do you use fitday to check the percentages? Some mayo with your eggs may help you get the fat up. So with skin on chicken. Also I would probably vary vegetables some. There are many good ones to choose from so dig in. There is more to Atkins that lettuce, egg and chicken Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home You may be close or over your cheese limit. So watch that.
