| Of course it says on them that they are allowed in all phases. The Atkins company wants to sell its products. They have been modifying the diet quite a bit since the death of Dr. Atkins. Short answer: the bars are not allowed if they have ingredients not 'legal' for induction. Even if all ingredients are 'legal', Atkins bars and shakes stall many people. It's not worth it. The Atkins bars, as created by Dr. Atkins, had the purpose of substituting a meal in case you are on the run and have nothing else to eat. However, most people use them as a treat/sweet. If you really must skip a normal meal one day, eating an Atkins bar is better than eating a bag of chips, but with a fast food at every corner I'd say it's better to eat a burger without bun. Other snacks... let's see... I like cheese crackers and flax & cream cheese muffins, but you can find more recipes on Linda's website: Linda's Low Carb Menus & Recipes - Home

| Well, it's eaten so nothing you can do about it. Who said muffins must have grains in them? You can do induction muffins. How good is that?! Some recipes are linked below, but you can look for more on the board or on Linda's website: Muffin in a minute - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...in-minute.html (Muffin in a minute) Pumpkin bread - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...in-recipe.html (Need an Induction Friendly Pumpkin Muffin Recipe..) And if you thought this couldn't get any better, you can even have pizza!!! Cauliflower pizza - Low Carb Examiner: Cauliflower Pizza Crust: Worth its Wow in Gold

| Other snacks allowed on induction are a few pieces of pepperoni, deviled eggs, celery and cream cheese, a slice of lunch meat, just to name a few. |

| I've got shredded cabbage (red and green), premeasured it out 4oz at a time, and baggied them so it's easy to track. Excellent crunchy snack and keeps well during the day if you carry it around. |

| Flax meal aka ground flax is the seeds for the flax plant (linseeds in UK) ground into a powder-like consistency. In USA I think it is sold in the baking section of supermarkets, in UK it is easier to get from health food shops. In USA you can buy it ready ground but in UK mainly as the whole seeds and you have to grind it yourself

| And I forgot to say, it is allowed on induction only as a prevention/cure for constipation and we are allowed a tablespoon or so of it. For larger quantities it is allowed on the nuts/seeds rung of OWL.
