Default What I had today.

I admit I haven't bought the book yet. However, I plan to this weekend.

For breakfast I had 2 boiled eggs.

For lunch I had a salad with chicken, lots of cheese, and ranch (lowfat, however, I see now I can change that)

Had some broccoli as a snack.

Had two pieces of cheese and two pieces of ham.

Had a salad with ham and turkey, cheese, and ranch...the lowfat again.

And still working on my water.

Am I even close to being on the right track?

From what I see is too much cheese, you are only allowed 4 ounces of cheese a day. Pretty sure the low fat ranch has more carbs in it then regular ranch, so you definitely want to eat regular.

Need to know how much of the salad and broccoli. Cups wise.

You don't have anywhere close to enough fat in your diet (unless your chicken on the salad was deep fried and had skin on, then maybe). You should be getting your calories from 65%fat, 30%protein, and 5%carbs...

Gosh, I go around raining on people's parades these days. I'm looking for 2-3 cups of veggies, not sure how big your salads are, so you could be getting this... or not... but you should also be trying to get the higher carb veggies (from the induction list) that will keep you closer to the 20g per day. If you're eating lettuce for those salads, you're probably only having about 8g of net carbs per day... while technically okay, it's a waste of about 500 other veggies that are yummy, and look at all that extra carb room you have to test them out in!

You can rain on my parade any day! That's what I need! lol

Thank you for that. My salads are usually about 2 cups and it consists of spinach and romaine. I'll definitely up my veggies. I'm going to start adding mushrooms too....just thought about that.

My problem is I am lazy and hate preparing food lol.

I can understand that. I usually cook a bunch of meals at one time so I don't do it for a few days and everything is ready to grab, heat and eat.

It's just that if you're going with the lower carb counts, it doesn't really *help* you, and then when you move onto OWL, and add the 5g of carbs, you don't actually get to 25g, you'd go to your current plus 5. Which would basically put you at like, maybe 12... You know?

I had 2 boiled eggs for breakfast today.

I'm thinking about going out for lunch. Will I be okay to get a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds plain and only eat the meat and cheese and a side ceaser salad?

I plan on having some grilled squash and broccoli for a snack later and then for dinner I plan on making some chicken with bacon, mushrooms, and a little cheese.
