| That's all? 982 calories? During Induction, the percentages you should aim for are 65% fat, 5% carbohydrate, 30% protein. As you move up on the "carbohydrate ladder" during OWL and increase your carbohydrate intake, the protein should stay the same, while the fat percentage will naturally decrease.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Hi and welcome to the forum - great place with lots of great advice. I agree with Georgiana 982 calories, you must be starving (or your body is and you don't realise it yet). For the record, we don't count calories on induction, so you can eat a lot more of the good stuff when you start. I tend to eat at the lower end too because I am genuinely not hungry on Atkins though. You can check out my fitday journal (in my signature) to see what I eat - I usually manage to hit my percentages... Good luck with the birth and look forward to chatting soon

| You need to eat healthy food and think about the baby for now. You very likely have a much higher energy need than 900 calories. Maybe you should discuss this with your doctor? Congratulations. I am envying you. I loved being pregnant.

| Don't want to bug you too much but you are eating too little. Can you discuss this with your doctor? Calorie need increase during pregnancy and you have to be healthy for the both of you.

| thanks for concern liv , its not 'bugging me' at all i seem to fill up easily enough, and eat till i literally fit to burst! and beside that, i have great check up with consultants (have a thyroid condition too) i go once a month, they are happy my bump is bang on for size, my weight is fine, and size of baby is doing good on whatever percentile line they like so all is ok believe me i know how important it is to eat well for both of us and am taking all advise given wouldnt do anything to put bubz at risk or anything (baby #5) so im not freakking out about a weight gain. Still im 30 wks today and baby very active little bean especially when likes to party when im trying to sleep! anyways thanks again and dont you worry , although its nice for the concern . Love Lins

| Are you planning on nursing? You probably know this but induction is not suitable for nursing moms. Good luck with the birth!
