Post 1st day induction menu

breakfast= In the morning, I had 2 eggs with a full glass of water with 1tsp mayo on the side

lunch= 1can of salmon, fried, with 1.5 cup chopped broccoli

dinner= one egg with 1 slice of sharp cheddar cheese, 1.5 cup baby spinach (without dressing)

Question: I'm not sure about the cheddar cheese because it says it contains 1g of sugar, is it ok to have it? Please someone tell me because I HOPE I DIDN'T mess up my first day Atkins

water: at-least 7 glasses of water

One egg for dinner? That is what my kid ate when she was 7 months old.
You are a grown up you need to eat. I think I eat that much food for breakfast alone (some days)
Make sure to eat 3 cups of veggies following the rules of induction. And don't be afraid of eating.
Cheddar cheese is allowed. You can three ounces of cheese. Sugar in cheese is fine because it is natural lactose - What you have to worry about is ADDED sugar.
Good work on the water

The thing is i felt so full and didn't want to eat anything for dinner but then I know we should not skip meals so that's why, just for the sake of eating, I ate dinner. But honestly I don't have the appetite, maybe because the salmon and cheeses made me full, I am not used to eating cheese and fish so I'm guessing that todays meal choices killed my appetite, but I'm trying.

I will keep your advice in mind, thanks

My typical induction menu is:

Two scrambled eggs with some spinach and cheese

Snack: cheese (0 carbs)

Lunch: About 5-6 chicken wings, sometimes more if I'm very hungry.

Snack: More cheese or salad with ranch or veggies with ranch.

Dinner: Usually a chicken breast with bacon and cheese, yummers.

And I drink lots of water t/o the day, I'm always thirsty.

Is this good for induction?

I feel the same way as QH, I have 0 appetite, but I can still eat w/out feeling too full.

The foods are okay. Make sure you are eating 3 cups of vegetables and not more than 3-4 oz of cheese. Also check the ranch dressing and the bacon for added sugar.

the ranch is low in carbs, and the bacon has none.

i probably dont 3 cups of veggies a day, but i have veggies/salads sometimes. i cut back on this because i wasnt falling into ketosis, once i cut back, i was in ketosis three days later. so far, this is working for me.

thanks for replying
