| I don't think there is any reason about worrying about amount on the first part of induction. Just eat till you are full and space out your meals. Have a snack if you need to. I don't know but I would worry abit about Denny's skillet dinner. Is this the restaurant Denny's? Did you look up on their online menu what the carb level is in it. the same is true for the deli ceasar salad. Do you know what is in it? Did you count the carbs for the day? How much was it (net carbs) And my last comment would be snacking on veggies - which is good but it is often good to "level out" the meal by having some protein and/or fat with it. Like a dip of some kind. Great on the water. Did you like your first day

| I just googled your salad and while it doesn't make much sense here is what the stats are, 756 calories, (we don't count calories so who cares), 84 g fat, (we love fat) 91 g cholesterol, ?? 9 g carbs, which is okay but it also said there was no fiber which is strange to me as romaine has at least a gram of fiber per cup. So where are those 9 carbs coming from, enquiring minds what to know (ooo ahahaha ooo ahaha ((those are sound effects))) Egg should have a carb, so the rest would be in the dressing and I would be a tad suspicious. Sorry, Im just rambling here. Do a lot of label reading when you get prepared food as you just never can tell what's hidden there. Happy eating. |

| I don't know where the 9 carbs come from with that salad either. It can't be net carbs. The salad is romaine lettuce, chicken, parmesan cheese, cherry tomatoes and dressing. Maybe they are counting that little pack of croutons but that would be more than 9 carbs I think. Maybe not. Weird. |

| My guess would be some sugar in the dressing adding to it too.

| I looked it up on Calorie King (I googled Costco Deli Ceasar Salad dressing) and it said 7g Sugar. If the dressing comes in a packet I wouldn't add it - rather I'd put your own dressing on at home and throw thie packet away. What I was alarmed with was the sodium in it: 2050mg of sodium -- that is 85% of your daily intake -- too high for 1 meal. | That is a lot of salt!!!! And a total of 32 carbs according to that link (take away 6 fibre that is still 26 carbs) way too much for one induction meal.

| Home creations are fun once you get the hang of it. Even though it is nice with convenience once in a while they do put a lot of salt, sugar and strange chemicals in those products and we really should rely on cleaner food. I pick up some salad dressings in the grocery store. Just watch to see how much sugar may have been added to it. Always use full fat ones. On induction as I was careful with sugar - I made my oil/vinegar dressing myself. And used a sourcream-mayo mixture at other times. I make blue cheese dressing for chicken wings. Not very hard at all. (I use a recipe by Emerill - you know the BAM guy from the cooking network)
