| And do eat lunch of some kind--don't go over 5 hours without eating at least a mini meal. Great job on the water. You will find that you are thirsty more often if you drink water. |

| Bristol, maybe maybe not. They can say 0 even if it up to 1/2 g per serving and if you drink several bottles during the day it can add up to 7-10 carbs easy. The plan says pure water and the best thing is PURE water. Nothing added. It is also about retraining your tastes. |

| Another day and my system is on the move. Yesterday I did actually eat 19.6g carbs which was 6% of my overall intake with 79% fat and 14% protein. Today I am going to cut out the cream in my coffee and add a few more vegetables instead. I had no idea that cream was so high in carbs. I am feeling good. ![]() One question I know Dr Atkins suggested that we drink eight 8oz glasses of water each day apart from anything else we drink. I find that I get really thirsty at night should I carry on with the water during the night? I woke up this morning really thirsty although I had sipped water throughout the night. Trouble with drinking in the night is that one needs to get up once or twice especially if you have a weak bladder. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

| You can drink at night if you have to. I would not do it myself. I like my sleep more than most things. If you really feel very thirsty all the time you should go see a doctor. It may be a sign of something.

| I find the more water I drink, the thirstier I am first thing in the morning. I don't sip at night - I get up often enough as it is! I do drink water first thing in the morning & the thirst passes. I acutally find being really thirsty in the morning helps me avoid coffee...I want WATER I'd say if you are waking in the night due to thirst - then drink. Otherwise it can wait until morning

| Well I have drunk more than the 64oz suggested, probably double that. I have had two cups of decaffe coffee, one this morning and one mid afternoon. One black one with a little cream. I have eaten well again today. Egg, bacon, mushroom for breakfast, pork chop and salad for lunch and then a stir fry of chicken breast and legal vegetables for dinner, with a mid afternoon snack of celery and cream cheese. Tonight I will just sip water, I know what you mean about getting up. I am now of the age of mid night visits to the loo. |
