Can you make your fitday public? It is not right now so your link does not work.

You can eat the usual stuff: meat, fish and eggs. It is what I eat practically every day. I have had salmon, sole, beef, pork, ribs for supper lately.

Here is a good webpage to look at

Many of the foods you listed do have carbs: lettuce, eggs, cucumber, bacon (maybe), cheese, mushrooms. I believe you don't have the book, but here is the list of foods acceptable during Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?). Print it and take it with you when you go shopping. There are 55 vegetables on the list, so there is no reason to limit yourself to lettuce, cucumbers and mushrooms. Then you have many meats to choose from -- poultry, fish, shellfish, red meat -- so there are tastier options than bacon and canned tuna, imo. There are also many fats, avocados, olives, cream, etc.

You can find the Rules of Induction here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) Read them carefully before building a menu.
This is the link to your private FitDay account, so we cannot access it. In FitDay, go to Profile, click on "Make My Journal Public", save the changes and you'll be given a link to your public FitDay account. If you post that link here, we can take a look.

From the menu you gave, it's hard to say if you're doing it right or not. We would need to know quantities too.

You will not be starving. Don't forget that Atkins is a high fat diet, with approximately 65% of your total calories coming from fat during the Induction phase. The fiber from vegetables will fill you up during meals, while the fat will keep you satisfied between meals. Also, if you are hungry or six hours have passed since your last meal, then you should eat.

You might be hungrier during the first few days, but after you get into ketosis, your appetite will be reduced.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"

That's a good plan - read the book & plan ahead before you start. Take a look at Linda's website too - it has sample induction menus, as does DANDR ("the book").

Once you start to get results, it will be easier to pass up cake on your birthday & other special occasions, but it might be hard at first, so its a good idea to wait until you feel ready.

When you have planned your first couple day's menus, post it including quantities & we'll review & make suggestions. Good luck
