| I think it was pretty good. But I think you probably lay off all the splenda. At least reduce it somewhat. You have already used up your ration of daily sweetener with your breakfast and it may have ended up a bit on the sweet side. But that is the only thing. And drink plenty of water. Fill up your water bottle and take it with you everywhere

| did you really take 2 mugs of coffee with heavy cream? or was it just a typo? it just caught my attention, cos 'liv" said something about your excessive use of splenda..... well, just wondering. maybe you can do with just one cup for breakfast? that could make a lot of difference. |

Lol yes I had 2 mugs but not for breakfast. I've updated that Fit Day since then with my lunch and dinner also. So.. to break it down For breakfast I had a coffee with 2 splenda and double cream (heavy cream I think if you're American), 2 eggs scrambled with butter and 3 rashers of bacon. I will cut that down to 1 egg and 2 bacon tomorrow as I felt extemely stuffed after brekkie. For Lunch I had a coffee with 1 splenda and 3 teaspoons (UK teaspoons) of double cream (much better mix than the breakfast one which was too creamy and sweet) and 2 and a half slices of corned beef. In fairness I could have skipped the meat for lunch as I was still satisfied from breakfast. I'll skip it tomorrow if I feel the same. For Dinner I brushed a Lamb steak with olive oil and sprinkled it with Rosemary and roasted it. Also had mushrooms and brussel sprouts. So far I've had 4 pints of water today. I've got to say I feel very satisfied and have done all day. I was also gobsmacked to see that my calories were only 1,114 for the day. (I could murder a damn big chocolate cake though... ARRRGH) |

| You could murder it but not eat it. Looks pretty good for your menu. You have to work those vegetables in better. You should have 3 cups of veggies. 2 cups from the salad list and one from the "other" list Vegetables You can have two to three cups per day of these vegetables. They are called "salad" vegetables in the book alfalfa sprouts daikon mushrooms arugula endive parsley bok choy escarole peppers celery fennel radicchio chicory jicama radishes chives lettuce romaine lettuce cucumber moche sorrel These salad vegetables are high in phytonutrients and provide a good source of fiber. Other Vegetables You can have one cup per day of these veggies if you only had two cups salad vegetables The following vegetables are slightly higher in carbohydrate content than the salad vegetables: artichoke celery root pumpkin artichoke hearts rhubarb asparagus chard sauerkraut bamboo shoots collard greens scallions dandelion snow peas bean sprouts dandelion greens spaghetti squash beet greens eggplant spinach broccoli hearts of palm string or wax beans broccoli rabe kale summer squash brussels kohlrabi tomato bean sprouts leeks turnips cabbage okra water chestnuts cauliflower onion zucchini If a vegetable, such as spinach or tomato, cooks down significantly, it must be measured raw so as not to underestimate its carb count.

| Actually that's really good news... I thought I'd reached my limit of veggies today so I didn't have anymore than what was served with dinner. I love veg Anyway.. thanks so much for reviewing my menu. I really appreciate it! |

| Feel free to ask if some of the veggies look unfamiliar. he American names are generally posted here but many have a different name across the pond and no sense missing out on them. |

| Your veggies are a little off. You should be eating 3 cups, with maximum one of these coming from the "Other Vegetables" list. Right now you have a day when you ate 100 g broccoli (a bit more than a cup) and 100 g cauliflower, and a day with no veggies. So work to get those vegetables in, both "salad veggies" and "other veggies". I agree with Liv---decaff would be a much better option for your morning coffee. Caffeine can raise insulin levels (does not necessarily manifest through cravings) and insulin is a fat storing hormone. Fridge Raiders, although they are mostly made of meat, are not "legal" as they contain sugar, dextrose, cornflour and rusk. Are you drinking plenty of water? Taking nutritional supplements? Don't forget to also exercise.

I always drink decaff coffee. My body cant tolerate caffeine at all. Sends my heart into crazy rythmns. I've stopped using Fit Day. I use weightloss resources as it's a UK site and much easier than having to input every single thing I eat as a "custom food". They have a very extensive database and it's all British foods. Plus, I used to use it when I was calorie counting and I know my way around it well. I always drink 2l of water every day and more on hot days. I also exercise every day on my Wii Fit doing aerobic for 45 minutes and muscle for 15 minutes. I've also signed up for the June Abs challenge and so in addition to Wii exercises I do 50 Jack Knives every day. Vegetables, well I eat them every day but I'm never 100% sure on how much I should eat. Can ANYone in the UK please tell me if they know how BIG this damn *cup* is???? It's driving me up the wall, lmao. Also regarding vitamins, my Atkins book came through yesterday so I'm leafing through it to see which vits I need. |
