Default Don't know what happened!!

This is my second time with the Atkins diet. I initally lost 50 pounds. Going from 220 to 170. I recently gained 16pounds. Got off track! I started a gain last Saturday. I've lost 2 pounds since then. My question is can you dring sugar and carb free vanilla lattie from starbucks??? If not that must have been the reason why I gained the 2 pounds that I lost. Please somebody respond.

since you've recently gained, you may not have allowed yourself time to get back into ketosis before having something like that. Also, some people have been told they were served a sugar free coffee when it was loaded with the real stuff.

I assume from your post that you are in Induction? Do you have a copy of the DANDR?

It is not recommended to have lattes, even sugar free. I love them and I know how rich they are. Try to avoid them during induction.

Are you drinking LOTS of water? Do you have a menu you could post? I restarted this WOL in January. It is going MUCH slower than the 1st time.

Post a typical days menu and we will see if there is anything we can help you with. Also, are you exercising?

Caffiene and milk are both no-no's, so no doubt they are having some effect on you..plus, I'm pretty sure Starbucks uses sf syrups that are sweetened with aspartame and that's not allowed either.

If you want to have something similar, look for DaVinci or Torani syrups that are made with Splenda, and use that with some whipping cream in your decaf coffee at home. Save yourself some $$ that you can spend on new clothes when you get back to losing!

As Moochicat said, the milk , caf and aspartame probably got you.....Get this instead:

Decaf Cafe Americano with heavy cream....and then add your splenda...It is Wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than a latte and induction legal
