| How much water in ounces are you drinking? >> 2 TB Bob's Big Boy Blue Cheese dressing>> Do you know the ingredients? As to the vegetables ... how many net carbs are you eating from those? I see 2 cups of salad greens ... is that just lettuce? In my opinion, 2 cups of salad greens and 1 1/2 cups broccoli isn't really enough vegetables for the first rung of OWL. The dried anchovies ... what's the list of ingredients?

| I think it is looking pretty good as a menu. You added 1/2 cup of broccoli as you extra 5 carbs? Do you vary your vegetables at all and eat different things? Could be a good way to get more nutrients in. Do you take a mulit vitamin? How about some exercise? Have you started including some. I think you are probably experiencing the usual PISS (Post induction Stall Syndrome) Most of us see that. But just sticking to our guns and keep eating low carb and being careful with artificial sugars will make things move again. BTW where do you buy those anchovies. I am intrigued. Are they a special brand?

| What are the ingredients in the salad dressing? Looking at the net carbs of your "salad greens" ... well, 1 cup of romaine, shredded is 1.5 total carbs and 0.99 fiber for .51 net carbs. 1 cup of iceberg, shredded is 2.14 total carbs and 0.9 fiber for 1.24 net carbs. That makes your salad less than 2 net carbs. The 1 cup of broccoli (assuming fresh) chopped is 6.04 total carbs and 2.4 fiber for 3.64 net carbs. That's around 6 (at the most) net carbs from vegetables ... and on Induction you should be having MOST of your daily net carbs from Induction vegetables. My take on it is that you're not eating enough vegetable carbs (even though you're eating enough "cups"). Also, a good rule of thumb is to drink 1/2 your current body weight in ounces of water ... so 70 isn't likely to be enough for you. More water and more vegetables will most likely give you weight loss. It doesn't take much undereating, both in carbs and calories (and water) to put your body in famine mode ... and it will simply hang on to whatever you give it.

| Thank you both for the explanations. J, I'm sorry I was such a snot regarding the energy drink. Mea culpa. I'll try increasing the brocolli and salad and see what that does. Regards, Shelley |

| Hi Liv, We get them at an Asian store called "The 99 Ranch Market"...they're already dried, and we just toast them in a dry skillet, then keep them in a tghtly covered jar. CRISPY, SPICY AND GARLICKY DRIED ANCHOVIES Ingredients 500gr dried anchovies (ikan bilis a.k.a ikan teri kering) 2-3 tablespoons Chilli paste 15 cloves garlic, sliced Vegetable oil Method Take a double kitchen towel then add two handfuls of dried anchovies to it. Dropped some vegetable oil on your hand then rubbed completely into dried anchovies. Process with microwave about 4 minutes until crispy, continue steps above until your dried anchovies are completely done. Set aside. Keep it ready your sliced garlic, fry until aroma to golden brown--don’t forget keep watching while frying other wise it will get burnt and will taste bitter, set aside. In a wok add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil then heat it up to a medium fire, take 2 tablespoons chilli paste depending on how much spicy you want to be--means that you can add more chilli paste if needed. Stirring about a minute then add the dried anchovies which had done by microwave process. Continue to fry until the chilli paste and dried anchovies are well blended. Remove from the heat then sift them out using a plastic basket with medium holes on purpose to get rid of unwanted granules. lastly, toss your crispy garlic then keep it into a tight container. Store in a dry area to make them last long. ![]() You can google "dried anchovies" and it'll give you many links from which to order online. My husband (Irish/English) makes a face, but Mom and I (Asian) love them. Hee hee. Shelley |

| Thanks for the info Shelley I am going to check my little local Asian market here and see if I can find some dried anchovies. Are they salty? That is the only thing I would watch out for. In Norway, where I grew up, we used to eat a lot of dried cod. I wish I had some now. It would be such a perfect Atkins snack food.

![]() I love dried cod. The package I have lists sodium at 480gm. per serving. Higher than I normally like, and so I'll have to cut down. But a little goes a long way. I think you'll really like them! Thanks for your support, and good luck with finding them! If you can't find them, maybe I can send you some, as long as I'm not arrested for sending food over international borders...can you imagine? Shelley |
