Default Please review my menu cause I'm not losing weight

Breakfast
2 hard boiled eggs
4 strips bacon
decaf tea

OR

2 eggs with mayo (egg salad)

Weekends it's a cheese omelet with sausage

Lunch
3 slices roast beef
3 slices turkey
3 slices either Munster or Swiss cheese (1st week was American cheese)
1 pickle (I've eliminated those)
salad with crumbled blue cheese (no dressing)

Dinner
Steak
1 cup broccoli with butter

On a RARE occassion I will have a morning start or advantage bar but in the 3 weeks I've been doing this I've had a total of 8 bars, and that's with doing this diet for 18 days.

I lost 8 lbs the first week, GAINED 1 lb the second (TOM) and this week only 1/4 lb but my official weigh in day is Monday morning so it's not a complete week yet.

Please help with ANY suggestions

I drink 67 ounces of water and exercise (but not everyday). When I'm feeling good (I'm sick this week) I usually go to the gym 4 times a week and do some cardio and some weights

Your menu looks alright but try plugging the menu into fitday and see what your numbers are, protein/fat/carbs. Also how much water are your drinking and how long as it been siince you lost anything.
Are you in ketosis?
How much do you need to lose.
Lose the bars cause they are stallers

What should the protein/fat/carbs be?
I don't know if I'm in ketosis as I haven't bought the strips yet :yikes
I am drinking 67 ounces of water a day
I want to lose 50-70 lbs.
I'm not going to eat the bars anymore

If you are in induction, your ratios should be approx. 65/30/5. If you're doing induction right, it will fall into that give or take.

You need to check out the induction forum and read the stickies. You aren't eating hardly any veggies and you need 3 cups a day. Your water intake is minimum and should be increased. 64 oz is minimum plus 8 oz for every 25 lbs. I personally drink 4 liters everyday.

I agree... drop the bars, shakes, etc. 8 lbs in a week is an incredible loss. Even when Atkins is done right, you will have slow weeks. Make sure you measure as you will probably lose inches even though the scale isn't moving.

Good luck! ha

I can't access your fitday. You need to log on, hit "home" then scroll down and you will see a link. That is the one we need to see your logs.

Meanwhile, check out the stickies in the Induction forum. They have all kinds of information. Your copy of DANDR will have all that information as well. :nod

Are those meats you are eating from a deli? In other words, processed? If so, they contain lots of salt which would cause water retention... You really have to be mindful of sodium. I suggest you use Morton Lite Salt at home when you cook because it has 1/3 less sodium in it, and contains potassium (which you need anyway) and yet it tastes the same as regular salt.

Also, great plan to ditch the bars. :yes

More veggies, definitely.

You should be drinking 1/2 your weight in ounces of water a day.

AND EXERCISE!! The scale won't move if you don't!

Hang in there, you can do it!

I buy real turkey which is cooked at the supermaket I go to. I do buy my deli meats from the counter so what else can I eat that doesn't have to be cooked? I eat tuna and chicken salad but I want diversity or I will get sick of the same food all the time. Any suggestions? I NEVER add salt to ANY of my foods. The only spice I use is garlic powder. I have also been buying low sodium bacon. Thanks for all your help!
