Default Please review my menu and i havent even eaten dinner yet!!!!

It is 1:00 PM and this is what i have eaten so far...

I am on the Induction phase (Carb count coming from FitDay.com)

Breakfast
1 string cheese 1 carb
cup of beef jerky (my mistake should not have eaten these) 10 carbs

double cheeseburger w/one slice american cheese, 1 slice tomato, and about 4 1 inch. pieces of bacon 1 carb for tomato

salad (lettuce greens, about 7 small slices of cucumber, few red onions, 2 slices tomato, and sm chicken breast)
oil and vinegar dressing 8 carbs

That is 20 carbs already!

What am I supposed to eat for dinner????
Im stuck, and i thought i was doing good minus the beef jerky.
I am going to have to make my own from now on....

Please help...
:no :confused

You just learned a very important lesson so you can be a successful Atkineer. Never put anythingin your mouth until you know the ingredients, carb count and if it is acceptable for your phase of Atkins.

if you just have meat and fat for dinner you should still be under your 20 net carbs limit or you cn add some of your healthy veggies and go over a bit but know that you made a mistake with that beef jerky.

On a normal day you want to have your carbs spread out to all meals in about equal amounts so you don't spike your blood sugars from a large ingestion of your carbs for the day.

Besure today you drink a lot of water as you will need it.
Happy low carbing

Is that gross or net carbs? Do you know how to enter fiber into fitday? I bet there is some fiber you can subtract and you will have a little room.

Tomatoes are high in carbs so you might not want to have so much of them in a day. Restaurant salad dressings tend to have sugar so you need to be careful with that.

Like 2Big said, lesson learned! Don't feel discouraged though. I also have learned a lot from this board. I wasn't doing it right in the beginning.

Hang in there!! :yes

Totally right with the fitday carb numbers, I bet those are full carbs, not net carbs. On fitday you'll see the number of grams of fibre. Just subtract those from the total grams of carbs.

The only thing I would watch is the 'American Cheese'. My understanding is that American Cheese is often processed. Just check that. If it says processed cheese food anywhere on the label, it's not for induction. If you got it at a deli, I would even ask about it.
