| Good Morning, Everyone... Just getting ready to start another day. Walked for an hour yesterday, so I think I will ride by bicycle today. I joined the April Abs challenge on the first (my first challenge), and it has been good. It has spurred me to do additional exercises while I'm at it in addition to the crunches everyday, so I am feeling a bit sore... but it hurts so good! It reminds me that I am taking action for my health and well-being. Hope y'all are all doing great... keep up the good work... it is very nice to hear from all of you. Have a super Atkins day! |

| For me, ketosis isn't this glorious thing that's changed my life. Appetite supression isn't what's improving my health. It's the fact that I now know what real hunger is. When I was eating all of those carby foods, they were addictive, and I'd want more and more to get my "fix". I was eating out of boredom, from anger, from sadness, from joy...eating was just another hobby I had. But once I kicked those addictions to the curb and got "clean" I realized what it was to be actually hungry. I guess it's because I've never had the super-duper appetite suppression like most of the people here have had. I never forget to eat because I'm not hungry. I will sometimes forget a snack because I'm too busy, but my body lets me know when it needs fuel. But my appetite has certainly decreased because now I'm only feeding my appetite and NOT my emotions. I now know what hunger truly feels like and how to feed it. I don't feel guilty for eating, because I know that my body deserves and earns the fuel it consumes! I feel like an addict that has gotten clean--a sugar addict. I don't even know if I'm in ketosis anymore...heck, don't know if I ever was. So this week I'm trying to start finding my CCLL again...I'm now up to 70g per day...it's getting hard to eat so many carbs. I remember at first it was hard to eat 35 or 40--I had to shift my menus and tastes to accomodate this. Change out this food for that one. Skip the butter, different salad dressing, etc. Now I usually eat in the 50s, and it's difficult to get to 70! But I'm sure I'll get the hang of it soon. It's an OK day so far...I have this sore throat that won't go away, GRRR! I've been drinking water like a fish and taking my supplements religiously...so hopefully I can kick this thing before it worsens! Wish me luck. Have a great day, STACers!

| Good morning--I'm checking in too. I despise my scale and am ignoring its whining pleas beckoning me to step on. Maybe Friday I'll weigh.....or not. Anyway, hope everyone has a good day.

| Good morning! I hear you on ketosis. Yes it is a wonderful thing. I can not believe the energy I have while in ketosis. I agree with throwing out the scales. I went to the doctor last week and my scales were off by 6 pounds! I could care less. I feel great, I'm eating healthy and I have loads of energy.

| Okay here's the deal. Everybody gather up all your scales. Have you ever seen the movie Office Space?? Give me all the scales, I'm handing out sledgehammers, we're going outside, in the parking lot, with some really good soundtrack music, some Snoop Dogg for Julie....(see I listen, haha) and everybody else pick your own. Now.....have it, beat the crap out of your scales. Oh yes. You can't have a new one. Sorry. I have to draw the line somewhere. (stand back watching) I don't think I've ever seen metal and plastic fly that high Joy? Okay, I'm going back inside where it's safe, and you all don't have that 'crazed' 'psycho scale' look in your eyes. Please drop the sledgehammers.. Yikes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Run away Run away! |

| WAR is IN Mixed in some more Tae Bo last and night whew .... I didn't realize how uncoordinated I had become. I played offensive and d-line as a kid and linebacker in h.s. ... always had good feet. Tae Bo has me tripping all over myself lol. More importantly it has me getting my pulse rate up and is a great workout. The "moves" are coming along too. Yeah, stay away from the scale. I don't want to go back, but I wish I could go back and take some measurements. Some people are commenting on my appearance already and it must be because I've lost inches in my face, rib cage, etc.. etc... Either way, I'm enjoying the process. Good Luck Team

| War, Tae Bo is quite a workout! Billy Blanks makes it look so easy, doesn't he. I love that workout. Hmmmm, I think I'll try that tomorrow. Scooter "this is for you it's called Run Like H*** " (Pink Floyd). You had me rolling!
