| Can't help you with your questions but did want to comment that the bars have been know to stall a lot of people. So just watch out for that.

| I wonder where they come up with this figure?? I have never stalled with the Advantage bars or shakes, because I really don't eat or drink them that much, only when I crave something sweet, usually around TOM, and I limit myself. |

| I think the missing carbs are glycerin which the Atkins company has decided can be deducted like they do for sugar alcohols. However, make sure you check the actual ingredients against the allowed list as I think there will be some listed that are not induction 'legal'. My way of treating the carb claims of processed 'lowcarb' foods is that if they dont give me the 'bathroom effect' then my body IS processing them and so I need to count every pesky carb no matter what the label says. This makes them very 'carb expensive' so I tend not to use them. If on the other hand they do make me spend the night sitting on the loo then my body is not processing them and I can deduct the carbs - but it would have to be a really tasty satisfying product for me to choose to put my poor system through the pain and sleepless nights of all that bathroom activity!

| I think you're right! I just Googled the glycerine info, and it's a new formula that is on all the Atkins products. They don't list the glycerine for you to subtract. It's already done. That's why my figures don't match up with the package. Anyways, I only use them in emergency basis. They have never stalled my weight loss before, but I didn't intake the Atkins products daily either. Mainly around TOM, or when I had a sweet tooth. I know not to eat those on Induction, but with me, when TOM is around the time I do Induction, I admit, I do take a bite or two of the bar........but, it didn't effect my loss, thank goodness! Maybe I'm one of those people who it doesn't stall the weight loss. |
