I don't know why in my 5 weeks of being a member of this community I haven't posted here as this is my second time on atkins. My first time was short lived as I had alot of things going on and per the advice of the dr I had at the time we were eliminating things I had changed in my life to see what was causing them. Guess what? Atkins was not the culprit. it was the depo shot I was recieving! I should have gone right back to the WOE, but I didn't and regret it!
I was reading through the post here and have noticed a few things I find true...like weight loss is slower this time around..lol. It was actually very discouraging at first, but I realized "so what, I am losing and I feel better! Besides, it took me years to get to this weight so its not coming off over night!"
Anyways, I would like to join all of you here and just saying "Hello "

Welcome. I, too, was on Depo and I don't know that I ever had any problems with it but I'm curious what yours were...

I was on eleven years and I've been off and on the pill now for about four months.

I know weight gain was an issue with me while I was on Depo. I struggled with hunger pangs 24/7. I also developed a lot of bad eating habits during that eleven years.
