| Since coconut is on the nut and seed rung (OWL rung 3) and not for Induction consumption, and if I read the information correctly between the differences of raw vs. dessicated coconut being the raw is, well, raw, and the other is dried...I'm thinking it's the same and would be okay for consumption. But the only thing I would warn would be to read that label really well to make sure you're reading the carb content and if they added sugars of any kind (words ending in -ose) while it was being dried.

| it's not QUITE the same. coconut flour is partly defatted, and INCREDIBLY high in fibre. 5 TBSP has 27 (!!!!) grams of fiber, and a net carb count of 3 carbs. because it absorbs so much, you barely use any when cooking with it. I used to make a coconut bread (with jalapeno and cheddar, so goooood), and I think i used 1/4 cup for the entire loaf. re: fiber, look at this chart: ![]() because you use so little, it ends up being cheaper than it seems.

| so i guess what ur saying is that dessicated coconut is not party defatted therefore it wouldnt be the same as using coconut flour...maybe the carbs would be a bit more or something?

| I don't know what it would do the counts, but no, dessicated ground coconut is more like coconut meal, not coconut flour.
