Default Roll Call 8/28

Everywhere I go, I keep seeing all signs point towards a lifestyle. I just took on a special assignment to help 5 people create a lifestyle with being active and fit! They all want to loose weight, and I want weight loss to be the by product of a new lifestyle that is active, manageable and sustainable....
In the later stages of Atkins, when it's time to maintain, lifestyle is the only thing you have to battle with. Consistency won here, will further serve you there! Sustaining a daily way of living here, will help you immensely there!
Think about that today....

Jess, good luck with that assingment! I do think that when someone is looking to lose weight and looking to be healthier overall - they have to think long term, not just in the moment. Its not just about - need to lose weight, its about becoming healthier, staying healthy and changing the things we do.

Day 3 for me... I hopped on the scale (I'm not normally a scale hopper, I was just curious lol) and I'm down 3.1lbs already. That feels SOOOOO good.

I want to be your assignment!!!!

I didn't weigh this week because I overindulged this weekend and I didn't want to see the damage!

I'll weigh next Tuesday!

One thing I noticed is that once I "give in" to the carbs one time, it is so much easier to give in over and over and over. I also think that the last ten pounds is just sooooo hard to lose!

But I'm back in the saddle and hoping to be purple this afternoon!!!

Thumbs up Re: Roll Call 8/28

Step-Ups
This exercise targets your glutes, hamstrings, and quads. It'll help you build a bikini-ready butt and rockin' thighs. While you're stepping up onto the bench, pay attention to good posture. Keep your abs drawn in and don't arch or round your back. Control your descent rather than letting your momentum drop your body as you're stepping down.

If you don't think you can step up very high, find a lower bench to work with — a step stool will do the trick!
Step 1
Stand facing a bench or platform with your feet hip-width apart. Place your left foot up on the step, making sure your whole foot (including the heel) is firmly placed.
Step 2
Exhale and press down with your left leg to bring your right foot up onto the bench. Both feet should be firmly planted on the bench at the midpoint of this exercise. Then slowly lower your left leg back down to the ground, leaving your right foot firmly on the bench, and repeat.
Tip: Pay attention to good posture. Keep your abs drawn in and don't arch or round your back when stepping up on the bench. Control your descent; don't let momentum drop your body when you are stepping off the bench. Tomorrow's Tip: Are You Eating Enough?

I'm here. I just realized that my routine has become so natural that I'm not sure what day I'm on of my modified induction. Day 10? Yeah, that sounds right.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Good afternoon all, back from my gym, I actually managed 47 minutes on an elliptical machine. I had to cut my swim following that to only 10 minutes, it started to rain big fat raindrops, and was still pouring when I left. Is it raining here at home where it would be ever so welcome? NOT a BIT. Bummer. But I feel great!

Hi, everyone, I'm back. I got really sickly lst week and all I cold keep down was crackres and ginger ale. while not a good solution, I was sick enough I am retaining water from the salt but the evil scale says I have gained no weight so reinducting for a few days just to get back into ketosis good and then back to OWL 1.
That seems to be a problem with Atkins, if you get a bad virus what to eat. I really tried egg drop soup but just couldn't do it. I just know now I'm better I'm back on track.

What does everyoneelse do or does it just get easier after you have been on Atkins throughout OWL? When nothing is really off limits?
Oh well, the good news is nothing gained, just nothing really lost. I'm sure some water weight will disappear in the next few days I just don't know how much.

Just curious.
