Default Struggling

Ok, since we don't seem to have a "Fifth, Sixth or Seventh Time Around Club" I guess I will just have to officially call myself a STACer! I have played this game on and off all summer. I started in May doing South Beach. And I really enjoyed it at first because I got to drink skim milk, eat plain nonfat yogurt and have fruit. It was perfect. But then I added in brown rice or something and before I knew it I was no longer losing.

I had success on Atkins a few years ago, losing 50 pounds in a year. But, man, once you fall off this WOE, boy do you fall. It is harder to get back on Atkins than anything I ever tried. Anyhow, I decided to come back to Atkins. However, it is a really hard decision for me and I am still struggling with it because I feel both diets are very similar and I felt like when I was doing SB that I was keeping it technically healthier. But the results are always better with Atkins.

I am off again and working back onto Day 1 of induction again today. I just still feel torn and confused and I think maybe that is what is keeping me from fully committing myself. I believe that if I am going to do this WOE I MUST commit and stop with the yo-yo thing. Plus, even though I have a lot of weight to lose, I need to start moving up the rungs in order to make this successful. I need to stop getting caught in that oh, just another month on induction way of thinking.

Any advice is appreciated.

Moving up the rungs will mean you will be able to eat the things you were missing, and still lose! I find I am really enjoying my yogurt a lot! We eat so many healthy veggies on Atkins, and you can rely on plant based fats for a lot of your fat grams, good oils, etc, that might make you feel better about the 'health' factor. But you may be buying into a 'big lie' about fat if that is what worries you! There is a thread here somewhere about the 'powers that be' convincing us that fat is the problem, when research is showing that is not true!

**THE BIG FAT LIE**

Anyway, I hope you are able to join us and feel better, even more than the pounds, I love the energy and the feeling clearheaded and in control. I know you will too!

Welcome back!

If there was a 897th section of starting over, I'd be in that one, too. lol. You're in perfect company with restarts.

I'm sorry to hear that SB didn't work for you. I hope that you'll find Atkins working for you again with the same and even better success as last time.

Believe in yourself that you can reach your goals, focus on an exercise you enjoy doing, plan ahead, and come share your days with us to help you focus on your commitment. You CAN do it. It IS possible.

Thanks for the support! I am going to stick with this. I just seem to always want to sabatoge myself. A week real good and then I think I can handle something I shouldn't and before you know it I am totally off the wagon, not even hanging on to the tail gate. I know this WOE works for me but I also know that I need to follow it in order to succeed. I am sooo pigheaded! Just do it Kelly!
