| Come on Thin Forever! Jump back on this program! We have a saying here in the south, " The devil's at your back door baby...so dont open it!" I am a Yankee, born and raised in CT but the first time I heard that saying here in NC I made it my pep talk line when I want to give up. The human body is so complex and it is designed for survival. You have to put the scale away. Stop looking for the reward in it. Your reward is in this program. This is a life change. If you have a chance read this post. It should help shed some light on the weight gain part of what our body does: The defense system of the fat cell Now baby, the devils at the back door....are you going to open it? |

| Also look for the post by gman, under the post "why is it so durn hard to lose that last 15 lbs" a few days ago. There is an article about the hormone leptin that may shed some light on your dilemma. The body is hard-wired to resist weight loss because of the way famine was more prevalent during our biological evolution. Maybe you're not down to the last 15 pounds but just giving some thought to these biological realities may give you more confidence that you're not doing anything wrong, you just need to stay in the game.
