| Kati - Welcome back! You know you can totally do this - that's why you're here! You are so on the right track. Check in here everyday - post how you're feeling, what's working/not working and you'll get a load of awesome advice. Be kind to yourself. We've all fallen off the Atkins train a few times - we know what works and that's what always beings us back. If you slip up, don't freak out, just keep moving forward with this WOL and don't look back. You're bound to make some less than spectacular choices - you're human, it happens. Just be sweet to yourself and try not to sabotage progress. Best of luck to you!!! |

| Join the exercise challenges, set LOW goals, and be proud for accomplishing them. Start with 60 abs, 30 push ups, and 60 squats a day. Do 20 abs, 10 push ups, 20 squats, and repeat three times. It's something little to do when you wake up, but it will set your mind right for the remainder of the day that you are committing yourself to this way of life. Not just Atkins, but a HEALTHY overall way of life. The biggest thing that's helped me here is checking in every day. This board is so nice to go to and feel the sense of a community of a bunch of people who know EXACTLY what you're going through... a community of your peers, and age has nothing to do with that... we all have the struggles, we all have temptation, we all need other people to pick us up and brush us off. That's what we're all here for. So, get up, brush that dirt off your booty and try, try again. It's not the first time you've fallen, it very well may not be your last time, and we'll be here for you and eachother the whole time. If you do go off again, come and report it on here. Don't let yourself stay mad at yourself and fall into non-ending self-sabotage. Report it, get it off your chest, and continue on plan. Never give up on yourself. |

| Sorry...I'm here. I've been looking at posts coming in on my email but haven't had the chance to post. Crazy week with parent/teacher interviews. Just catching up! Doing well so far. I haven't been perfect but regardless, I'm down 4.6 pounds since Monday morning. Had the most amazing cheese "fries" last night.... Here I was lamenting the fact that I started Atkins before satisfying my Outback Steakhouse cheese fries craving. Instead, I fried turnips last night, added bacon and cheese and VOILA!!!!!!!! Craving satisfied...within the parameters! Who knew that I would like turnips???? Mashed with cream and butter - YUM!!! Sugar is my biggest foe however. It's like heroin for me and I'm weaning myself off. Just about there. Unfortunately, this is a necessary step for me because of a migraine tendency. I just can't tolerate what happens if I go cold turkey. Thanks for checking up on me!!!
