| Hi Tania, Scale war, huh? I also hate that darn thing! With passion! But I think you're doing great even if the scale doesn't love you right now. Good job for exercising! Many people don't see how important that is and what a big difference it can make in the long run. I believe your muscles are just retaining water (especially if they ache) and it's this water that you see on the scale and not fat. You ARE shrinking, the scale it's just fussy. Although exercise is important, don't forget that rest days are too. They help your body recover and give little breaks to your muscles so that they eliminate the extra water. If you are doing weights for example, don't work the same groups in two consecutive days. Do chest/arms/back one day, thighs/quads/calves the other... just as an example. Your friend doesn't love you too much, does he? I think one shouldn't (especially as a guy) make comments about someone else's weight gain unless you are really close to that person. The one who gained weight most probably didn't do it on purpose (d'oh!) and he/she is not thrilled by it. Just ignore his comment. .About the challenge, I think we're in the same boat. The New Year thing, right? Saw you posting there today. ![]() How far in induction are you?
