So true.

I got my son and my fiance McDonald's yesterday, and we had coupons for a free milk, free apple dippers, free hamburger, and free small cone... (they were halloween coupon things if anyone else has seen them) - And, so I was driving home with two cones in my hands, really proud of myself for not getting myself one... and they started to drip on me, so I licked the sides to stop the drip and stopped there... luckily.

Then, we got home, and I sat down to join in on the eating fest. I pulled out some apple dippers and a hamburger for me and thought, 'Well, I already ruined my ketosis with the cone, so I can dig in and start tomorrow.'

I laid it out in front of me and sat down. I looked at the food. And, I got up. I said aloud, "I don't want to eat this." And, I didn't.

Now, I know that doesn't take away from my encounter with the cone, but I felt so rewarded for not eating that crap. I was so proud of myself for not throwing the towel in because of one little incident. Any other time, that might have set me back a few days, I would have sat and ate the McDonald's, and then ate more the next day and it probably would've carried out for the rest of the week, and then the following Monday I'd be back.

But, no! This is a major milestone on my journey.

Each milestone is a reward.

Hello STACers on this cold, cold Monday morning (and I live in the deep south)!! Well after way too long, I'm back!! For those who don't remember me, hi I'm Monica, I've tried this WOE many times and I'm hoping that practice makes perfect

Anyway, today is my day one, bound and determined! Havent had anything to eat yet but you better believe it won't be carbage. Hey congrats to Plasmachic, way to go girl! Can't wait until I'm in the swing of things again and get that kind of willpower back! Man where is everybody this morning? Wake up STACers!!

Welcome back to the Atkins WOE, Monica ... you really sound motivated; best of luck on this exciting journey!

I had an "a ha" moment yesterday ... usually I wear my engagement ring on my right hand, and it's been soldered on there for years 'cos with my weight gain, even my fingers got fat, turning into puffy little sausages ... so I had this "ring roll" over the top and no amount of soap could get that sucker to budge. Yesterday, I felt it sliding around and it popped right off! A MIRACLE! Now it sits on top of my wedding band, and both of them are rolling freely around my left ring finger ... double w00t!

this is my 7th day on the plan and i cant wait to see how much i have lossed tomo morning am very excited!! i had a blimb moment yesterday but have gotten right back on the wagon. wish me good luck for tomorrows weigh in

Hey Guys!

Wow I have been away for a long time and I miss coming here. I also miss this WOE. I am really getting tired of eating junk and having my stomach growling an hour after I eat. It is pretty horrendous to be sitting in church during the prayer time and trying to fight your stomach and keep it from talking out loud!!!!!!!!!!

I miss the feeling of being full and having that flat tummy. I am coming back to Atkins and I am starting tomorrow. I am also bringing an extra 6 pounds with me.

The last time I did Atkins I was doing it improperly I found out and it was leading me to have dizzy spells and not feeling all that well. My carb intake was way too low. I am going to track all my food on Fitday. I really like that site too PLS it makes it a whole lot easier to watch my carbs.

So wish me luck guys. I am jumping back on board. See you tomorrow for my first official day.
