| Hi Melimeli, It's not at all unusual not to lose weight the second week. As you will read here often, weight loss isn't linear. It's best to record ALL the food you are eating.That way, if you have a little lapse, you will be able to relate that to a slow down in weight loss. Also, some allowed foods may cause you to stall. Cream, cheese, sweeteners, and coffee can cause stalls. Are you drinking enough water? Are you distributing your carbs out evenly during the day? Are you getting in 30 minutes of some sort of activity per day (and if you are, you may actually be gaining muscle, which weighs more than fat and helps rev up your metabolism)? Have you been eating foods high in sodium that may be causing you to retain extra water?If none of these things are issues for you right now, it just may require a little patience. We didn't put this weight on in a day. Hang in there, girl. You ARE doing it. Your strips say so |

| Hi Meli, I totally agree with what has been said already as well. Meli, you're doing great...what is really important is that you stay focused and acknowledge all that you have accomplished so far! Just look at what you have overcome!!! I remember just a little while ago when you were having some problems in the first few days of Induction and you stuck each day out and look where you are now! Take a deep breath and acknowledge what you accomplished....that is really important. Don't worry about what the scales say (I know, I know...easier said then done) because the bottom line is, you're most likely losing inches, you're healthier for the way you're eating and the scales WILL move...I promise you! As long as you keep doing exactly what you're suppose to...they WILL move. What is most important is that you stay focused on what you're doing everyday to continue becoming healthy...the #'s will change. For me, one of the things that slowed my progress was sodium... for some reason my system seems to be EXTRA sensitive to it...like Lilacs said....maybe check your sodium....are there any foods that could be higher in sodium that you're ingesting without realizing they are...just something for you to consider. Keep it up Meli, you're doing just fine...don't get discouraged! | Thanks guys.. I am going to stick it out.. I am on day 14 today and thank god the cravings are gone.. I donīt even feel like eating the white carbs.. the only thing I sometimes still want is something sweet.. but not as much as before... I started back to work today after a 6 month maternity leave.. so I am BEAT... I guys execise will have to hold off until I get used to my new pace of life but I am doing mor just being at work.. I just hope I will see some results soon because I know myself and I know that I get ummmm bored if I donīt see anything happening.. I did measure at the beginning so I will check those in another week... can imagine that too much happend in one week.. ok lots of love!!!! |

| I actually took measurements today, I think it'd been about 2 weeks, and was actually amazed by the difference.

| the same thing pretty well happened to me. my loss has been slow, but now I'm down 21 lbs!

| I had several weeks when the scale wasn't moving at all but my measurements were steadily going down! If you are sticking to the plan I bet your are losing inches even if you're not losing pounds, don't be discouraged-- you are doing great!! |
