Sitting here with a new laptop, it's a loaner, and it's small. You know, a little white Apple Macbook. Cute, but my fingers are lost on here and I am squinting to see....But it's giving me a "new feel"....I just came in from the bike in the 20 degree garage...It was 17 this morning in Atlanta....
I got up and made the choice to bike because I am going to the movies this morning with my teen. I'm excited to be invited with her. Guess what movie???? Yep, Twilight. I read the first 2 and a half books.

I made the choice to ride now and then eat, so I go to the movie having to protect my choices of healthiness.
Something happens when I invest with exercise, I tend to protect the work.
Each of us is wired and geared differently and as I've read we don't all respond to the same things. I'm not a bootcamp kinda girl, but I probably will have exercised before bootcamp kicks off....I repsond to personal challenge not external challenge. Exercise is an investment for me, and I respond to it.
Know yourself and put yourself in the best possible scenerios.
The holidays are going to put many of us in scenerios that we might not do well in. Take time this weekend to visualize what you will be facing and shop accordingly. In past I've eaten in the car on the way to people's homes. I've brought legal foods, I've gotten up and exercised right after over eating. I've gone out of my way to sit at the far end of things or even in another room. I've carried a trusty water bottle and drank constantly from it. All of these were EFFORTS ABOVE AND BEYOND. But I was able to stay legal for 2 yrs that way. Slipping only a rare occasionally.
Know yourself before setting foot out of your controlled atmosphere and create an atmosphere you can carry with you....

I agree with you, Jess ... plan ahead! And without the M-F gym visits, I don't think I'd be losing at all ... it's slow going even with the exercise. I take my music with me, and while I'm slogging away on the treadmill listening to hits from the 80s, I'm thinking: "This sucks." But after an hour, I'm all energized and feeling pleased with myself It is completely worth it.

Hi all
Checking in.
On different strong antibiotics and not feeling too well. They make me dizzy and hot. Am not allowed to drive or use machinery so exercise is out. Couldn't anyway as my chest is burning....
Off out tonight to a fish restaurant - lots of legal foods there.

I'm here, worked all day... I haven't been on in a couple days, but I've been on track

Not losing anything... I'll lose a lb. and then gain it right back the next day... so, I'm getting quite frustrated. Although, I'm in ketosis - I keep testing myself, so I don't know what's going on.

Oh well, I'm not going to let it discourage me... and I'm not breaking Atkins. Slow and steady right?? Well, it's going awfully slooooow right now...

Hello All ~

I'm late for Saturday check in...it's Sunday. But, I have been doing well. I am trying to stay away from the scale(I am an addict). I worked in our yard today - leaves etc. Then, helped my DH hang our Christmas lights...up the ladder,down the ladder.
