Morning STACers.
A few thoughts today as we go into the holiday week.
I was down stairs working out with my gal who is in a lifestyle make over. It's called Project Fitness and I over see 5 women as they transition from inactivity to becoming active, fit and healthy. First off, 5oclcock came WAYYYYY to early for me! She worked out and I kept thinking about a "battle plan" a strategic plan for getting through the food-laden holiday.
I told her that my family is celebrating pretty much alone this year, and what a great opportunity I have to establish something healthy in the mix.
I explained our family is going on a "morning hike" with all our dogs, and we are going to do it regardless of the weather. It's our battle plan. Activity first, and laziness second.

I asked this girl to write out a personalized plan for the day so that her week was strong and organized, no slipping into food on Monday since the holiday is here....No blowing up on Thurs and unable to stop by Saturday and restarting all her hard work on Mon.
What could she SET IN MOTION that was doable, sustainable, achievebale and she was capable of accomplishing to MAINTAIN MOMENTUM!

I ask you all the same, success does not just fall out of the trees and down on top of us, we have to use CHOICES and stick to them to accomplish set things! What are you out to accomplish? Hold onto and achieve this week, and weekend coming up???
What have you got to have in the house to make it.
What have you got to make and take with you to make it.
What do you need to do to make it all happen.
THINK-PLAN-MAKE IT HAPPEN

Motivating as usual, Jess! I know for me that the holidays are a must to plan ahead of time. My extended family are a bunch of carb hounds and I could easily get swept away in it all. I have my meal plan all set up. Turkey, green beans, mashed califlower and an amazing banana bread (flaxmeal) I found the recipe for. I will not feel left out!!!!! My weight loss has been slow since I just ended my time of the month. Only lost 1 lb in 2 weeks. I will keep on keeping on though. Giving up is never an option! Hope you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving!!

Wow, thank you Jess! I think I'm going to spend some time doing a plan later today. I've got a really rough work week ahead of me but I'm feeling energised right now and I know I can make it! Thanks for the motivation!

Hello All ~
Thanks Jess for the motivation. I've had a plan since I started on 11/1. But, today you have re-centered me. I am the host for Thanksgiving and of course all the high carb regulars. However, I am planning to make myself carb alternatives. Pumpkin custard, jalapenos with cream cheese then wrapped in bacon, brussel sprouts, Turkey, and sugar -free jello dessert. I am planning to eat a low carb breakfast and have the deviled eggs out for snacking so I don't get...starved.

That's my plan...stay full on legal foods. Good luck all.

Hi all. I have a plan in place too for Thanksgiving. I love turkey so that will be my main choice on Thrusday and Friday plus lots of salad, deviled eggs and green beans. But the biggest help for me is keeping up with the challenges on the board which keep me off the couch and exercising. They are my best motivators.
