| That's a great idea for a new tradition, Jess. Thanks goodness we are already an active family, but it's something to think about for people who aren't. It has been snowing here and it's absolutely beautiful outside! I'm so excited about the holidays and can't wait to start decorating. I'm doing fine on my diet and life is wonderful. I hope it's the same for all of you! |

| Morning all! I am feeling a bit better but still getting over flu. I have lost 2 pounds in the last two days so am really happy with that. I am so hoping to get in to Onederland by Christmas although it will be tough with only four weeks to go! Have a great day everyone. When is thanksgiving? We don't have it in the UK. Zx |

| Zarabelle.. I am glad you are feeling better and congrats on the 2 pound loss. Happy Holidays to all! Everyone I know (even the Husband) are telling me.. Oh its Thanksgiving.. Eat whatever you want. Why do people push us so hard to cheat?? I am going to stick to plan and not let the temptation get me. I am pretty happy this morning.. I weighed in at 124

| Hello all! I have not posted in a check-in thread in like, A YEAR! I'm still here, though I've been trying to get to the bottom of things regarding my health and weight. Today is the last day of a gluten challenge (I'm trying to find out if I'm celiac or merely gluten-intolerant) and I'm so thankful. It's been a miserable couple of weeks. I hope everyone has a great day!

| Well julie, you SHOULD BE FREE! You have been really going through things trying to figure out what works for your body! It's a trait I've always admired about your journey. You are one thoughtful person!

| Hi All ~ Happy Thanksgiving ...early. I have been home today cleaning and cooking for my "carb-monger" family. I am not even tempted at this point to cheat. I am really excited about all the changes I am seeing in my body. The scale hasn't moved in a week. But, I am wearing pants I haven't wore in a year. Have a great day tomorrow. ~b

| Hello, I'm here and doing well today, but it has been a long one! I'm so happy to be eating right again! Zarabelle, Thanksgiving is tomorrow and I'm so glad you are starting to feel better! My bf's office is having Thanksgiving lunch tomorrow (that office will take any excuse to snack and eat, we don't even have Thanksgiving!) so I made some dressing and an apple gingersnap cake with glaze for him to take in. And just as BuffieLynn said- I was not even close to tempted, not because it didn't look good but because it just doesn't interest me! But I do love to bake so I was happy to do it- I get to bake and then I get to have it gone from the house as soon as it is done so it won't sit in my kitchen and call to me! I hope everyone is well today and Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! |

| Boy am I thankful for ADBB, it's always right here where I left it on my tool bar! It's at the top of my favorites, and always one click away. When you scroll down through all the forums it is obvious that this is a large community caring for a broad spectrum of people and the places they find themselves. My Thanks this year on Thanksgiving to TOM who began this site and still runs this site and has created a huge community. My thanks to the Administrators who quietly work long and hard behind the scenes. My thanks to all the moderators who watch over things and keep it all running smoothly. Thank you all for making this a place I want to return to and be apart of. My journey is over 2 yrs long now. 2 years a go a small group of friends organized a group exercise challenge and I started on the treadmill. It eventually led to me entering the Peachtree Road Race with my friend Adena who comes here. That led to triathlons and a more active life. As my journey with low carb has gone on my life expanded and I was able to do what I did not use to be able to do in sport. Some times I am distant, but never far in my heart from the reality that ADBB is why I was able to maintain my focus for so long. It is a wonderful real place, full of awesome people. All of us carry within a desire to be better, and reach new places of healthiness! Press on friends, press on!
