| I have had to give an "explanation" a few times, and I say, "You know I just don't eat certain foods anymore, I don't like the way they make me feel." Most people can relate to the sugar crash. The bloat from eating too much of anything. Everybody knows certain foods "dont agree with me"...We've all got foods we avoid, everybody does. I would bring my stuff, and go directly to the hostess and just say something like, "I'm watching things so I just brought a bit of my own along." I would also enjoy anything Atkins-agreeable. Use the reasoning, that somethings are bothering you. Let her know you don't want to offend her in any way and thus you approach her first thing. At home, cook for your guest and yourself. I do that every day with my family, cook a major meat and veggie and add additional bread and pasta or rice in for husband. No body needs to know, it's all in how you serve it, banquet style, where everyone can pick and choose....That's a nice way to not draw attention to yourself. Being honest, that "YOU have special needs" not that they are bad cooks. I would have no problem speaking quietly with any hostess. They know I am not trying to in any way offend.

| That is very good advice. Your pictures are amazing. I remember you from quite awhile back and you have really stuck to it. Do you still want to lose weight?! You really look great, O - Jess.
