| The recipe I found called to use frozen caulifower- then cook it in the microwave (a little water and coverd so it steams). Then you place it on layers of paper towels and try to get as much moisture as you can out of it. If you over cook it it will turn to much btw...... After that you put it in a food processor and pulse it till it looks like rice. I have used fresh cauliflower as well and didn't have a problem but it had a stronger flavor. Apparently there are ricing machines but I do not have one. I use the flat blade that sits near the bottom of my processor. I like to make up a full batch and then use it for a couple of days/meals. I hope that helps. Julie |

| I've only made it with fresh. I put it in the microwave in a covered container, and don't add water (I figure that the water clinging to it after washing is enough). then I use a food processor and it's good to go.

| Ok...now I have a very stupid question. I'm relatively "new" to the whole cauliflower thing...hated it before I did Atkins, but love it now. Steady...when you say you put it in the microwave, I'm asuming chopped up, right? And stupid question number two...you have to cut the core, out, right? Of is that part edible... I know these are dumb questions...I just feel like I'm wasting a lot of the head of cauliflower when I chop it all up. I want to get my moneys worth!

Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again. |
