| Second time around with Atkins- 4 days in and feeling fine! thanks for all the support!

| Quick check in and back to work I go ... Hovering at the same 199/200/199 mark for a couple weeks now.. getting a tad frustrated.. Measurements didnt change this week either.. but I've upped my exercise a bit so we'll see how that plays out. Staying off the scale until my Monday weigh in.. I need to stop being so neurotic. | Afternoon...I messed up yesterday....ate out with friends and I flopped by eating the sushi. So I didn't gain, but I didn't lose because of that. ![]() Anyway, I am still burning ketones. Woohoo! I am going out today, but will make sure that I am on top of my carb intake this time. Day 4: Breakfast: 3 boiled eggs Lunch: 2pcs- homemade BBQ chicken Dinner: Out..will update later Exercise: 30 mins brisk walk 300 crunches I will survive my outing today in San Francisco!!! |

Life is wonderful. Then you go to the computer, you glance outside and the sun is shining, flowers are opening up and you hear birds chirping and see them in playfully flight... Oh life is Wonderful... Then you log into the Atkins board and you notice something is not right... MY CROWN !!! Thinking its a computer error T.J hits the re-fresh button... but still no Crown. Now a slight panic sets in and you frantically go to the Arcade and after some research learn the sad truth. Now THAT'S Very Traumatizing ! I feel for him. To cope with all this, he is probably on his 3rd Michelob Ultra and its not even 10 AM ! Poor guy. |

| Hey everyone. Been a rough week for me. I'm eating clean, but it's tough right now as the scale is still moving in the wrong direction...and then yesterday I had my FIRST all day round of carb cravings since I started on March 2nd! When the scale is not moving the right way, it makes the cravings REALLY hard to resist. But I squeaked through it. I think the percocet I'm on induced the cravings... I can't workout right now both because of my hip pain and now because of an infection...I have no idea when I'll be able to workout again and I'm frustrated. I've been on antibiotics since last friday and the need for pain killers is starting to lessen...so maybe I can workout this weekend, but I feel a chest cold coming on . Part of me knows thats why the scale isn't cooperating, but when you know your in ketosis all the time, you want to see some action on the scale. Tomorrow is my weigh in day...if it's anything like today, I'll be up THREE pounds since my low in the siggy. ![]() I'm drinking my water like a good girl...eating well (but some days maybe not quite enough)...but I'm really struggling today with the wanting to give in...even though nothing I think I want to dive into is really worth it. Frankly, no food sounds good right now, low carb or not...so eating right isn't appetizing, but when I try to think of something to throw in the towel with, that doesn't sound good either. Sorry I'm such a bummer...I'm trying to snap out of it. I think the infection I'm dealing with has really brought me down this week. I'm glad to see everyone is doing so well! Becki

Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again. |

| Rejenki- I am sorry you having a hard time. Right after my surgery I lost about 20# due to the nausea from the pain meds and the fact that I was asleep 90% of the time.Now I only take a 5 mg Norco a few times a week but they still make me feel like crap and I agree they can cause cravings. If you can, get some low carb desserts and dont forget to take your vitamin & supplement (L Glutamine) should help. Percocet messes me up to the point that I can't function at all, I hope you can have some one help with you low carb meals. Don't be afraid to ask you friends/family just give them the recipes. They will probably be happy to help. BTW/What did you do to you hip? Take care, Julie |

| The pain med actually isn't for the hip this week. I had a little minor surgery in a painful area so I was taking them for that. The hip pain is subsiding a bit...the pain is because I keep throwing it out of alignment when I'm working out on the elliptical. My muscles aren't strong enough to hold it in the right place because of my spinal cord injury. I do have an exercise to re-allign the pelvis, which works as long as I don't over-do the workouts like I have been. I forgot about the L-Glutamine...thanks for the tip! Good news is I haven't needed any percocet today so not having the craving problems tonight. I'm functioning ok...I can handle everything....help would be nice but isn't necessary. Times like this it does suck to be alone. I don't "NEED" help...but would love to be taken care of, ya know?
