LOL Ev! I agree!

Today is my weigh/measure day for the week and just about the only thing to look forward to on a Monday.

Made it through a baby shower yesterday without cheating on the cookies, cakes and pasteries they had. Instead I ate a few strawberries (I am not on that rung - some would call that a cheat - I do not ) and called it a dessert. I'm on plan .. lost a pound.. but not claiming it until I see it for few days.

Dana, I definitely don't call that a cheat and neither would the good Doctor. That, girl, is making a good decision.

As for myself, Monday is weigh day and NOTHING. This ten pounds is starting to get really discouraging. I think I'm going to start running again AGAINST the advice of my chiropractor.

Good morning.. I am starting not to like Monday's myself.. I have a 4 day work week this week though.. I went in yesterday to let someone go home early so she could get to cleaning cause her family was coming today.,..

I ate right yesterday and believe it or not the scale is down.. I don't claim losses until Sunday's though.... I have to figure out what I am going to eat this weekend because my daughter has a 3 day dance competition and you can't take food in.. and walking back and forth to the car is hard on my feet...

Good morning all. Sorry I've kept you waiting with an update to my "situation". I've been having a rough couple of days.

Anyway - I took the test and it was negative. Not sure how to feel about that right at the moment, but the problem is (sorry if this is too much info) my periods are so random, that I have NO idea when my next one is supposed to start. If I were normal, it wouldnt be till about the first week of next month, so Im going to wait and test again in a week. I have definite symptoms though, and I hate to think this could all be in my head. I almost wish I was on birth control, so this would be a non issue at this point, but being on birth control when your married and do want to have children seems pointless doesnt it? Grrrrr.

So I guess for the time being, while I'm playing the waiting game - did I mention I hate this? - I will move up to maintenance just to be on the safe side. I'm going to continue with the 6WEC (mostly just walking) until I know for sure. I despise the fact that I will have to reinduct if I'm not pregnant, but I also want to make sure that I'm doing the right thing for the baby if I am. I'll continue to check in and let everyone know how things are going.

Thank you everyone for being so supportive right now. I really need it!

It is a rainy Monday morning as I begin Day 2 of my third attempt at Atkins. I have humbled myself before the Atkins Altar and beg forgiveness for thinking I could do it on my own and in my own way, with a new 20 pound gain showing just how wrong I was.

This time we do it right. This time no diet coke binges, no off-days to satisfy our sweet toothes, no large bowls of frozen whipped cream as a daily desert. Nope, it's water water water, jello on occasion, and strict adherance because we know it works.

This morning I came into my office to major temptation. Someone brought in, wait for it, a huge bag of mini-Reaces Cups and two packages of cookies. Meanwhile, I brought in all my unopened boxes of pasta, rice, soups, etc, for our food bank drive.

My goal today, lots of water, stick to the food I brought with me, ignore the temptation, and walk up and down 1 flight of stairs at lunch. Oh, and figure out this board so I can get my signature to show up.

I'm glad it's Monday. This weekend was tough. While at a hockey game, I bought a cookie for my Dad. The nice lady gave me *two* cookies because they were "small" ( they were about 6" in diameter!). So, here I am with a warm chocolate cookie under my seat in its little nice wax bag. I'm thinking, there's no way I can make it through this game with that cookie there, so I took it out, let it touch the floor on each side, and put it back in the bag. I'm such a germophobe that knowing it touched the floor took away all the cravings.

Then, yesterday, my wife and son got ice cream bars from the ice cream truck. I was fine until I opened my son's and took a whiff of that yummy chocolate. Then, he saw I didn't have one and offered me a bite ("but not the FIRST one"). I politely told him my belly was full and to enjoy it. Ahh, the day to day weekend temptations!
