Default Not losing as quickly this time

I am not complaining as I am happy that I have lost a few pounds, but every other time I have done induction I have lost 7- 11 pounds in the first few weeks.

I know it could be for a lot of reasons, but this is the first time I have been working out daily and been doing induction. Has anyone else had this happen? In the past, I have waited until I had lost some weight before I started working out.

Can working out actually slow down weight loss? I don't think I am building muscle yet - its only been less than 2 weeks. Or should I be looking at other things?

Thanks!

Don't stop working out!! Your muscles might be retaining some water right now and they need to do that to recover. Whether you work out now or start up later, your muscles are going to go through it. You might as well just work through it now. Ultimately, it will get you to goal quicker and make your body look sexy and toned instead of just thinner and looking good "clothed." I don't know about you but I want to look good naked!! Nothing hot about massive weight loss and wrinkly saggy skin. Build that lean muscle mass now!!

Congrats on the inches WORKED OFF!! I had to learn to embrace inches lost because that ALWAYS happens to me before a drop on the scale! I tell people to remember when you lose inches, your body IS smaller and people notice. When you drop a couple of pounds, no one sees a little cloud above your head announcing a lower number on the scale to the world! Inches lost beat pounds lost any day!! Especially since pounds lost follows inches lost! Great job!!

The other thing is you say you aren't losing as fast "this time on induction".....your body is getting wise to the fact it's not getting all the junk it had been eating - each time you go on Atkins it's not like the last time - most people do loose slower.

Default Re: Not losing as quickly this time

This is my second time around and I'm noticing the same thing.

But the first time I was also 24 years old and now I'm 35. I was probably burning calories chasing girls, now I'm married with children. The weight fell off of me the first time not it sort of slides off. I'm almost done with my second week of induction and I've lost nine pounds so far. You know what. Doing that eating steak, eggs, bacon, butter, cream and veggies is a lot easier for me than counting calories or points or what ever other methods are out there. So I ain't complaining.
