Then I go downstairs and she had pooed in the floor. Crap!! No, really, CRAP!! (I'm making myself laugh here) No TJ on FB either. |

| Good morning all! Checking in early because I'm home today. My son is sick. Waiting for a call back from the doc. Hope it won't be too much longer. I hate waiting! Sorry to hear about your ankle, Everlosing. Wishing you a speed recovery. Kellymch, hopefully your puppy will sleep tonight and not through the day. What kind do you have? We have 2 Jack Russells. Off to look around on the board to see what's going and wait for the doc. Have a great day all!

| Hello everybody, Just checking in. Its been between 80-92 degrees for the last five days. I'm a fan of hot weather so I Love it. With this hot weather comes seasonal cravings of ice cream fudge sundaes, grapes and watermelon. Gotta confess I do miss them. Thank goodness for berries!

| HAPPY TUESDAY STAC'ers ![]() The sun is up and they are saying near 80' temps today... OMG we haven't seen those since 2001 ![]() I have a lot of work to do. We have our last food show of the season Wednesday and almost everything we need is packed tightly into my van. Today I get to unload all of it and set up for the big wing ding. Tonight I will try to make a work out. I am hoping to save my back with a brace for set up. I decided to make Lasanga last night. I used egg plant for the noodles. It came out pretty good. I wished I would have seasoned the egg plant with a little sea salt before grilling. I think that would have helped remove mositure. All in all it was good. I made hubby a regular noodle one. I think we will have lasanga for a week... Actually I am thinking of freezing some of it. Kelly how old is your puppy? One of my dogs sleeps with me often and when he gets off the bed I know it means I have to take him outside. He does his business fast but it sucks if you have to get up in the middle of the night. Gotta love your pets though. Ever I am sorry to hear about your ankle. I just went through 5 months of Petular Tendonitis on my knee (knocking on wood). It still gets sore but not nearly as bad as it was. Stay off of it is all my doctor said. yeah right. Did you ever try walking with out your knee (or foot/ankle). I hope you have some help around the house for the week.Have a great day, eat legal and drink lots of water! Julie |

| Now I'm starting to worry about TJ...hope he's all right! Ever, hope your ankle heals rapidly. Did they give you instructions for icing and anti-inflammatories? I have some tips from when I had bursitis if your interested. Kelly...ewe and ewe! Do you know why the pup is restless? Did you check him for ticks, too? Ugh...ewe! Have you been camping recently? A friend of mine also had a tick on their back just the last couple days. Must be that time of year or something. I'm lucky enough to have a dog that has slept through the night ever since I brought him home as an 8 week old pup. The only time he didn't was last summer after the plums had fallen off the tree in my backyard. Nowhere near where the dog goes...I'm convinced I have evil squirls feeding them to him. He ended up with tummy troubles for a week during that time...had me up several times a night. Peyton is so funny...I can sleep through a thunderstorm and a parade...but if he sighs just one time to go potty, it wakes me from the dead. BurnFat...about those cravings...someone posted about a low carb ice cream at Safeway made with splenda. I kinda wish they hadn't posted about it because now I'm thinking about getting some...but a 1/2 cup of vanilla with berries on top sounds like a nice treat now and then. As for me....I went to Physical therapy yesterday and he worked me out pretty good. I got on the treadmill for him, and he had me concentrate on a different part of my gate than I have been at the gym. He is less concerned about my foot swing (which is what I tend to focus on) and more concerned that I swing my hips symmetrically...so that's my new focus. Actually, after 5 minutes of doing that, some of my hip pain STARTED to resolve. And then he killed me with other exercises and my hip hurt the rest of the day. LOL...but it was great work and I broke a sweat. He has this shuttle similar to a "total gym" but with resistance bands instead of angles that he has me "jump" on in a laying position...that is such a powerful exercise....totally gets my heart rate up and allows me to "jump", which I can't do in the real world standing upright. I wish I had one of these shuttles to do this more often because it works EVERYTHING from the oblique’s down...really great exercise. Today I have ACTUAL muscle soreness...which doesn't happen very often. Oh...and Vickie...he said the spinning bike is a go! My weight was slightly up today...could be because of the muscle soreness...could be my usual Monday water gain from not having my feel elevated all day like the weekend. It's not bad...only 273.2. I'm not concerned. I'm a little peeved at myself about what I've brought to work to eat today. I accidently grabbed a wrong container of un-opened cream cheese that will go bad in 10 days...and I have an open, barely used container in the fridge at home. GRRRRRRRRRR....I might have to find an alternative for my celery sticks because I don't want to be forced to eat both containers quickly. Dangit! LOL. Breakfast was a sausage egg quiche thing...lunch will be the end of that chicken enchillada stew-type whatever stuff...and dinner ...well...Dinner is with Russell tonight, and it will be interesting. I bought his FAVORITE frozen lasagna before starting this plan. I would typically "partake" in it with him...but now I can't. I'm making it tonight (mainly to get it out of my freezer)...and sincerely hoping he doesn't notice when I scrape all the stuff off the noodles. LMAO...this will be interesting. Russell hasn't seen me since starting...we'll see if he comments on the changes. If I had time, I'd make my own dish...but tonight is just gonna be crammed timeframe. We'll see what happens. Have a great LC day, ya'll!

| Hello everyone! First off - thanks Julie for sharing your mousse (whipping cream/SF Pudding) recipe. Ever - it's great that you're not letting an injured ankle keep you from getting your important exercise. It's perfect how you've just changed the focus! Toning is key! ![]() Kelly - I'm with Becki, check your pup for ticks, too! I've woken up to accidents before so can totally relate - I hate stepping in regurgitated fur balls in the middle of the night! ![]() QBU - hope your son feels better soon! And take care of yourself so you don't get sick, too. Becki - Great that you get to join a spinning class! And it's also great that your PT got you focused on a different part of your gait... with positive results (well... until you did the jump thing!). With good workouts like this in your future, you'll be melting away!! Sounds like everyone is doing well today... me too! My weigh-in today was perfect = 1 pound down and 6 away from my next mini-goal! Back to work with me... Vickie

| This is the most fun Roll Call I've read in a while. I'm wiped out and don't have the memory to respond to all but thanks so much to everyone for sharing. I always enjoy reading even if I don't reply. About the ticks...I live on 32 acres in the middle of the woods and yes, it is tick season. Both dogs are covered. I have an appt at the vet tomorrow and they will get on their Advantage. I can't keep them out of the bed with me so if I wake up with a tick, oh, well. Ladybug is a Walker/Rottie mix, so she is officially a MUTT. She's four months old and she rarely goes to the bathroom inside. Hank is a two year old Catahoula and absolutely the best dog in the entire world. The dogs are outside right now. No doubt picking up millions of little ticks to bring in the house with them. YeeHaaa. |
