![]() Happy Happy Friday STAC'ers![]() ![]() I am sooooo happy it is Friday. I am playing hooky today. I had a very exhausting week (work wise) and I need a mental break. I slept great last night and would have slept till 7 or so but my daughter woke me at 6:15 to say "mom, I accidentally slept in can you take me to school if I am late?"...... She made the bus by 6:50. She needs to learn to get ready quick. I swear some days she spends an hour or more in the bathroom doing her hair and make up. ![]() I made a pot of vegi soup last night for dinner so I need to make some cheese cake muffins or something to help me get my fat in. Maybe I will do that today. The sun is up and the sky is blue, it is hard to stay in when it is like this. I need to work in my yards and get the hose out to help things green up faster. Slapshot congrats on the loss ![]() Kelly I am trying to convince myself to start morning work outs again as well. Some times I wait for my husband and then he comes home late and I am too tired. I feel best (with my back and knee) when I first get up. I have more free time in the morning too. Last time I went to the gym early I was surprised that it was so busy. | Slapshot, I LOVE Man versus Food. Nothing he eats really tempts me too much. I've seen him eat a 12 egg omelet, a 72 ounce steak, all kinds of crap. He's crazy! But it's a great show. Travel Channel has great food shows. |

| i usually do my cardio in the morning and my strength in the afternoon. i do it in the morning cause i want to get it out of the way, and i do my other stuff in the afternoon cause after an hour of cardio i dont want to do anything else without flopping on the couch and resting for a couple hours lol

| Morning all! Kelly, I was in FL at the end of lovebug season once...I feel ya! SlapShot...I love getting workouts done early in the morning to "get them out of the way"...I just don't love getting up early in the morning. It's a constant struggle... Welcome to the board Angel! Ok...my official friday weigh in has me at 272...that's down 1.4 from last week. My ankles are a little puffy today...could it POSSIBLY be that I'm already heading into my monthly cycle 2 week span of weight nightmare? Crimony! Where does the time go??? I could SWEAR I just finished this. At least I know it's not bad food choices...that much I'm sure. So I'll just roll with the punches. Oh...and that puts me at a net loss of precisely TWENTY POUNDS down since I started plan! With the weekend coming up...and an impending vacation...I have some fridge cleaning to do...and by cleaning, I mean eating what I have before I leave. I have a container of alfredo sauce and a container of pizza sauce and a bunch of shredded cheese that probably needs to be consumed before thursday. Crap! LMAO...what can I freeze? I'm not going to grocery shop between now and when I get back...force myself to eat what I have on hand (which is plenty!)...and save some money for the slot machines! Yes...I have produce. I will make grocery shop rule exceptions should I need more produce. I am meeting with a personal trainer tonight...one of those "free" deals you get when you sign up with a mega gym. If I like her, I'll buy some training from her...but she's gotta really show that she understands what I'm looking for...which is a custom program that really takes into account my personal limitations. I've always wanted a "Jillian Michaels" type trainer who would push me...but push me on things I'm actually capable of doing...jogging on the treadmill aint gonna happen. (Yet...I still have high hopes that I will "someday") I'm looking forward to it but hoping it's not "cheap" since it's one of the "free" sessions. Food today is a quickie scramble for breakfast (my new tip...use a Pampered Chef prep bowl (which is a nice size ramekin with a lid), one egg scrambled with a smidge of cream, a pinch of sausage (I keep some in my freezer) and a pinch of cheese. Take it to work, give it a shake, pop it in the microwave for 45 seconds (be careful cuz the egg puffs up big time) and viola! Fresh scramble! Lunch is the end of my leftover taco salad, snacks are STILL celery and cream cheese cuz I haven't eaten much of them the last two days...and dinner...clearly will be something pizza sauce or alfredo related. LOL...maybe chicken with broccoli and alfredo sauce? We'll see. Hmmm...I COULD do a white sauce chicken pizza with garlic and green onions. OMG...I think I just drooled on the keyboard. I have leftover frozen cauliflower crusts!!!!!

| Julie - congrats on the hooky...I've played hooky all month, sort of (I took a month off between jobs, start again Monday!). Kelly - I recorded the one about the hot peppers, too. Want to see that one since I love hot stuff (except that time I touched my eye after cutting habaneros when I worked in a restaurant in high school....) Kibs - I used the feel the same way about cardio in the AM (lounging afterwards). But, lately, I've been very energized even after a 45 min workout. Must be the endorphins/adrenaline. Hey, I ain't complaining! Rajenki - good luck with the trainer. Trainers can be either hit or miss. Tough to find a good one. Let us know how it turns out...

| Morning everyone, Not a great week of work (I'm really starting to hate my day-job!) so I'm looking forward to the end of today and the weekend! Next Friday I have flex day so that means a short work-week to look forward to. Small blessings! My life savers from day-job misery? My hubby (I really like him The good thing is that all the stress, angst and disatisfaction I'm feeling because of my job isn't affecting plan. I'm doing well!! Okay... I'm not doing well with my water intake (always a struggle), but food intake has been perfect. Slapstick = Go Canucks!! Actually... I'm impressed, and a little envious, at your ability to get up early and work out! You too, Kib... and Julie! And it's great that you get to play hookey today, Julie... I think you can tell that I'd love to do the exact same thing about now!! I'm with Kelly... I wish it was easy to get addicted to exercise! Becki - I had an alfredo, chicken cauliflower pizza with broccoli, red pepers and mushrooms once and it was soooo tasty! Enjoy!! Also... since we're talking about exercise... hope the Personal Trainer you're meeting with today will be a fit. Sometimes working with a pro like that can make all the difference! I think I'm going to have to make myself a cauliflower pizza this weekend ![]() In the mean time, I have to get some stupid work done. Vickie

| Hey everybody. I've been absent and was dragged out of busyness by a good friend, I will do my best to be around. Why would I do that? Because this site changed my life, my daily postings and consistent efforts not only brought about a great deal of weight loss, but friends and a sustainable lifestyle. I cannot imagine ever being too far away, and apologize for being so for a while. Life is crazy busy, I am working as a Personal Trainer, and am constantly studying for my certification. I am working out at 5 or 6 every day with clients and or friends. Fitness has been my way of life for almost 3 yrs. Atkins and following this program gave me that life. I am glad to see new friends and old ones.
