Default So frustrated

I have been doing Atkins (again) faithfully since February. I have stayed in ketosis, but have had only 4 pound weightloss (which was in the first week) It is so frustrating to be doing it right (under 20) ..very limited Atkins bars, mostly omelets, meat and salads. I have used the ketosis strips which so that I am in ketosis, but I cannot get the scale to budge! I have added more fat (per Jimmy Moore) and still nothing..and for those who are not scale lovers, my pants are not fitting any differnt either! What am I doing wrong? Could there be another issue? Any one else gone through this? If so, what helped you? I dont want to give up, but I am so close! Please help!

Two words...Add Veggies. If you've been on plan since Feb, it's time to move on up to OWL and Rung 1. A lot of people find they'll get a nice whooshie just by adding some more veggies in Rung 1.

Hang in there! Drink your water. Stay on plan. Add veggies. It'll come.

Have you posted a menu? Make sure you include quantities for everything you eat.

I'm sure you've heard by now that Atkins bars & other frankenfoods are known stallers...

I was going to also suggest stopping the bars.

I would ask, are you overeating? Just because you are in ketosis does not mean that you are losing weight. All the ketostix measure are the excess ketones being spilled in your urine. For example, if you ate two pounds of butter a day, you would be registering the darkest purple yet, probably gaining weight. Make sure you only eat until "satisfied". And to many of us, "satisfied" is a new concept. Satisfaction is not fullness. You need to stop eating when your hunger is satiated. Not when your plate is empty or when you are full. If there is still food on your plate and you are no longer hungry, then put it in the fridge. If you get another hunger pang later have some more. Just my first thought. I ran into similar issues until I realized that three cheeseburgers for lunch was bringing me way past "satisfied". I hope this helps.

Yes, I know about the bars and processed meats. I only eat a bar if I HAVE to..out somewhere and cant get anything else. Here is my typical menu

omelet with cheese and ham (2 egg)
coffee w/heavy cream and stevia
meat and salad for lunch ..ranch dressing
sometimes bacon in the afternoon (if hungary)
for dinner some kind of meat and a green veggie or another salad
..throughout the day my downfall is coffee..I may have three cups a day with about a tbl of heavy cream and stevia
I have slacked on the water, but there was no change when I was drinking an abundance of water. I take b complex, magnesium, chromium and l-carnitine..I am so frustrated with this weight. It came off so easily last time! I don't eat big quantities either..only until I feel full

Thanks, Jim..I dont feel like I overeat. I have added up calories for a few days to get an average and it is usually around 1400-1500 ..I am not gaining, just not losing! My daughter is 14, and eats just what I do and is losing great!..she is the ONLY reason I have not thrown in the towel!

It could be you are just metabolically resistant. Are you exercising? The good doctor said that if you are not exercising than you are not doing Atkins. Try upping your activity level. Change things up, shock your system. Good luck.
