| Hey, Jess! Was on EARLY this morning but didn't post roll call because I was hoping you would!! Sounds like you've had an extremely demanding morning. Chillin' in the pool sounds marvelous! I'm cleaning like a crazy woman today. All the plans got switcherooed with my ex and he's coming here tomorrow. My house looks like the Biggest Loser gym right now. Clutter, clutter. So...am going to throw away everything I don't need anymore and take lots out to the shed. I tossed all my giant Old Navy t-shirts. One was 9 years old!! Got to toss all the giant panties that are useless to me now! That was NICE! I just sat down to a big ole bowl of spaghetti squash, shrimp and Linda's creamy alfredo sauce. If you can enjoy those higher carb dishes that are absolutely delicious, I HIGHLY recommend it! It's a little carby, fatty and I always tend to lose when I eat it! It's on the menu all weekend! LOVE IT! Hope everyone has a great day!! I've got some exercise dvd's on the way and plan on this weekend being a great warmup to starting those! Be strong, live strong....ON PLAN! |

| Morning everyone! Ev - I laughed about you getting rid of your big panties!! I have larger panties, too, but they still fit! I suspect that when I was larger I was stretching these darned panties beyond their limit!! Yep. That's it!But not for long!! Today I weighed in at 188.8 - so I'm claiming 189!! Dana... how are you doing?! Jess - good luck on next week's triathalon!!! Oh... before I forget... believe it or not I've never had spaghetti squash before. I saw one at the store the other day but didn't pic it up... mostly because I don't know how to cook it!! Seems to me I heard it's just a matter of microwaving it, then scooping out the "spaghetti". Can someone tell me? Ev?? Thanks!! So... I'm off to re-paint my kitchen. Lots of fun!! Vickie

| Hello there, STAC-ers Had a bit of a derail this week, but learned that I just feel better when I eat on plan. This is my second day of induction and am hoping to be through the worst of it by Monday. I find that it works better to go through the "flu" over the weekend. Have decided that it's time for a renewed commitment. Am excited for a new month. |

As you know, they're sort of the shape of footballs, kind of! Get a good REALLY sharp knife. The rind is really tough. I cut it in half lengthwise. Scoop out the seeds and sometimes that includes a little bit of the orange-ish pulp. Then, I take a big glass dish, add an inch or two of water to it, place the squash in the pan upside down and cover with plastic wrap. I didn't always use the wrap but have found I really like the decreased cooking time and tenderness and moisture of the squash. Last night I wound up nuking one pan for about 15 minutes and another for nearly 20. It's done when the rind is soft and you can stick a butter knife through it. I let it cool and then get to scraping out the good stuff! Sometimes I actually wring out the rind a little in the sink if it's too wet from using too much water. The squash comes out in strands. It's somewhat of a pasta or noodle replacement but it's good by itself also with some butter, salt and pepper. You must try this!! I started losing weight again when I upped my carbs and I upped them by incorporating this. I don't want to eat 5 lbs of low carb veggies all day like celery and cucumbers. I want veggies that pack a punch to my carb intake!! You will love it!!! And it just might love you back! Okay, no paragraph about spaghetti squash should be that long but that's how much I love it!! All of the spaghetti squash at WalMart and Kroger have a little sticker on them that give cooking instructions. You can also make it in the oven but the microwave is so much easier. Do try this. You'll be so glad you did! ======================= Now, onto panties!! I had a bunch of Lane Bryant panties size 18/20. I don't know why they're so hard to throw away but I'm wearing a regular size 10 in jeans now, so it's time to move down. It looked like I had room to hide things in those big panties!! Nothing makes your saggy butt look worse than saggy panties!! I've graduated to going to Target and buying regular sizes again!! Yay!! What? Cute panties? For me?? That's new!!! |

| Happy Saturday STAC'ers ![]() This morning I went out for a hike and then came home and cooked a bunch of taco meat. I then scrambled a couple eggs and added soem of the meat for breakfast. I needed to cook the meat because tomorrow I need to pack my lunch and breakfast. I am off for a day hiking of hiking. It just about killed me last weekend. I was sore for a few days. Hopefully this Sunday will be less painful. I finished the 6 WEC today. I lost 9 # and 14.5 inches during that time. I need to do some house work & yard work and then we are going to see a movie. Good luck Jess. You will do fabulous! Ev thanks for reminding me about the spagetti squash. I love it. I haven't bought any since last year. I have never tried it with alfredo though. Just olive oil, parm, a little salt & pepper and shrimp with basil. Like Vickie my "biggest BIG" panties were probably over loaded and they still fit- they just don't offer any support now Congrats on the new low Vickie ![]() Focus- The most important thing for me when I was starting is to stay prepared. Be ready with legal foods and eat even if your not hungry.... The hungries can attack at weird times and it is best to have some thing close by to keep you from driving into McD's or worse. I try to keep Turkey Jerky, Atkins Bars (better than the alternative) or nuts in my car for just those kinds of thing. They are not easy to reach but placed in the back of my van so if I need them I have to pull over and make an effort and also so I wont graze on them when I am not in an emergency to eat. Have a great weekend. I probably will not check in tomorrow. Julie |
