| Mornin All! Doing well now that I neatened up my foods! Thank goodness! I was getting worried that I have barely made a dent in my weight loss and I was going to stall out constantly. Ev- hang in there - sometimes work is just that... work. Unfortunately most of us need to swallow a little pride in order to remain employed and 99% of upper management knows that Oz - I'm with you.. i have so much to do at home that I would rather be taking care of today! Vickie - where are you? How are you doing? Have a great morning everyone - will check in later on today! ~ Dana ~ |

| Alright, Ev, prayers going up for you! I have to remember that everyone does not think like I do and everyone does not come from the same background/perspective that I do. The world would be a much better place if everyone thought like I do! We are LOVING the bikes. I'm so regretful that i didn't do this earlier in my life. I love it, love it, love it. Unreal. And it's raining today! Bummer. On another note, I need to find some motivation to get on plan and stay on plan. You'd think the Alaskan cruise next week would've done it but NOPE. Anyone have any motivation they could send my way? |

| poor everlosing. I know its probably not the best advice I could give you (considering the economy) but if thats the case i'd quit -yesterday- lol. Office drone jobs literally just suck the life out of me. Hey kelly! I find that I don't really need motivation so much as something to get excited about, and I get excited about numbers. So to get my butt in gear, I've written down each week from 5-27-09 to 10-28-09 which is when I want to be at goal, and wrote down a two pound loss beside each week. The idea was to kep me focused on trying to hit smaller goals instead of getting lost and unmotivated inside the big ones. I've hit the first two weeks with flying colors! I know losing 2 a week won't last forever, but it still gives me something to try for so I don't try to be lazy about it. I also Wrote down (over in my journal) my Memorable Weights, starting at my highest, and going down to my lowest and my goal, and write personal comments to go with what each number meant and how i remember feeling at that weight (or how i imagine feeling at the ones i havent been at yet!) Maybe i'm a nerd but visualizing the numbers helps me stay on track. So does going online and window shopping for a goal outfit lol! I know what you mean about thinking a big upcoming event would be enough to motivate us, i'm having the same problem. I'm FOUR POUNDS away from hitting -50 and being in onederland. I'm also obligated to go show up at a family reunion in the middle of June. Those are two huge events that should be motivating me, and for some reason lately they just aren't. My eating isn't too bad but ever since the doc cleared me to work out again, I haven't. I don't know how i go from working out 2 hours a day to not being excited about it at all even when such a big goal is RIGHT there.

| I had a small victory today I wanted to share... My work ordered free lunch for everyone today...sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, and cookies. Can you say carb fest??? I was really tempted by the cookies, but I backed away slowly and enjoyed my lettuce wraps instead. Now I am full, sipping on water, and the craving has passed ![]() Have a great day today!! |
