| Hi Mimoon, Welcome back! ive recently come back and just finished my 14 day induction, im on my 3rd week now and im feeling great. Take it 1 day at a time and you will find it easier and easier to stay on track. I had induction flu for a few days, but just had to battle through it and im so glad i did as now im full of energy. I find coming onto the board a couple times a day and reading all the post's very encouraging and helps keep me on track. Stick with it and you will get the results you want! Good luck! |

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Hi and welcome to ADBB. I’m one of the Spotlight Hostesses. When you feel the urge to start "reindulging in every carb laden thing I could cram in my mouth" just remember, this is the ONE place where you can control something in your stressful life. Do it one meal at a time, one day at a time -- before you know it you'll have a week behind you -- then two ..... you are the only one who can do this, we can't loose the weight for you but we can be here for you, to help you get through the tough times. Here is a little information I hope will help get you started. We follow the 2002 DANDR book it would be very beneficial to buy a copy so you know what you’re doing. *Eat a variety of meats, cheeses and vegetables. Also make sure you get your fats, carbs and protein in daily. *Drink plenty of pure water (nothing added ***– see below for more info). *Take your supplements and exercise – that’s the plan. *Stay away from the shakes and bars (they aren’t legal on induction) and any processed or chemically enhanced foods – we eat whole foods. Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of this page – it’s a condenced version of the DANDR book. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day, including: Filtered water Mineral water Spring water Tap water *** Crystal Lite, sugar free teas, sugar free kool-aid & diet sodas do not count they are chemically enhanced and most include aspartame (also not allowed on Atkins) – PURE water is the only thing that counts toward your daily water intake. If you need a “flavor” in your water float a lemon or lime slice on top of your water The recipe sites are a helpful way to make your meals more enjoyable – just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with. Recipe Sites http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html (Never ending induction recipes)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html (Induction Recipe Basics--More recipes added)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/6807-induction-recipe-basics-more-recipes-added.html If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.
