Default Roll Call Saturday 07/18/09

Good Morning Everyone.....

Well I having been fighting the urges to go off plan all week and I haven't. But darn it I hate it when the scales don't move..

So today I have to keep telling myself....You feel better...your headaches are better...and so is your heart burn problems...

Still can't figure out something yummy to have at work with no microwave... I feel like all I do is snack there and not get a fulifilling meal.

Hang in there Sandy! I keep trying to think of yummy cold lunch items but really all I bring for lunch are salads. How about some dip type things with different veggies? I have been making extra chicken breast for dinner and slicing it up over spinach and romaine lettuce with my different kinds of dressing. The chicken helps with my urge for chewable stuff, and all the different kinds of dressing have helped a little with variety.
Its a quiet day, my youngest and I helped out with a school shopping project and a local department store this morning early. We each were paired with a kindergartener and got to go purchase $100 in school clothes for them. The store had lots on clearance and we got a 15% discount so we were able to get lots of great stuff, shoes, etc. Lots of fun for the kids and pretty neat for us too. My little guy was mostly interested in the backpack and school supplies he was to receive after the clothes shopping! Have a great day, Eva

Hello..well I am mad.. I got a Chicken Blt Salad from Wendy's today for dinner...and went to eat it at work and it was BREADED...UGH...It use to be grilled...and it was all I had to eat.. But I will tell you I resisted the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts my coworker brought and that was HARD...

Hi, everyone! Checking in for the first time in over a week. I'm sorry I don't get to spend as much time here, but life is kind of crazy right now. Spending my days at Mom's and the nursing home. Dealing with my children during the evening. With all the stress, I am still hanging in there.

Sandy, can you tell me what part of Virginia you are from. I'm from Southwest Virginia. At the moment it is cold to be July. It's supposed to be in the high forties here in the morning (closer to 50), it seems more like fall. I don't know what's up with the weather this summer. I just hope August is better.

Everyone, keep up the good work, it's worth it!!

Wow late getting here today but still on plan.
carlae: you can have some of our heat here in the Northwest..it is getting a whole lot warmer that it ever used to here. My self I would prefer a little cooler weather.
Well Sham I am glad you are better now..

well off to get some more water..I did get all my steps in today with a few extra ones..

Sandy, did you consider having some hot soup with veggies and meat in it? You could heat it with an immersion coil... I think a coil is $10 or so.

You know.. I never thought about that.. I don't know what an immersion coil is.. BUT I could get one of those thermos that keep things hot..and make some Broccoli and Cheese Soup.. YUMMMMM That would make me very happy.. Thanks for the idea...
