| Hi and welcome back Mrs. S -- Here is a little information I hope will refresh your memory and help get you going again. To loose and keep the weight off follow the plan the way Dr. Atkins wrote it. The plan works if you follow it the way it is written and don’t try to do it “your way”. Hopefully you’ll find your personal reason for wanting to be back on Atkins and giving it your all. Check the STAC Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet for additional support. We also have challenges for members to join, some are exercise related and some aren’t. Also start a journal and post your thoughts along the way. Check the stickies (information posts) at the top of the induction page - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/ – it’s an easy way to answer questions you may have if you can’t find your copy of the book. Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction because of their ingredients and have caused stalling to many people) - eat a variety of foods off the acceptable food list, (making sure you get your fats, carbs and protein in daily), drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), take supplements and exercise. Check the recipe sites also - they are very helpful and will help make your meals so much more enjoyable. Make sure you are using induction recipes until you move on to OWL (ongoing weight loss) Recipe Sites http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html (Never ending induction recipes)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/58513-never-ending-induction-recipes.html (Induction Recipe Basics--More recipes added)http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-diet-14-day-induction/6807-induction-recipe-basics-more-recipes-added.html If you need anything we’re here to help you!! Good luck.

| I hear ya girl. I just came back to Atkins with a heavy heart, I had regained all 40 pounds I had lost and an extra 10 I decided just to DO it. Then I went through and re-read everyone of my posts and was just astonished at the enthusiasm I used to have for this WOL and WHY I wanted it so bad. My kids to have a healthy Mommy, my husband to have a wife he's proud of, and to look in the mirror and FINALLY love what I see. All the goals I had that were washed away in my own confusion with what to do, all came rushing back. All you have to do is click Search and go down to your threads. I hope it helps you like it did for me. Don't beat yourself up...pick yourself up and jump right back in. You deserve this.

| Perhaps re-reading DANDR and following its rules (ignoring any rules from other diets) would be less confusing. There are tons af different diets out there...trying to morph the rules of multiple diets together would be confusing! (and who knows if you'd see any success??) DANDR is tried-and-true as is - there's no need to add extra rules in or follow habits from previous diets Best wishes,

| Oh, I hear you about the 'grass is greener' thing. I too did really well the first time on Atkins - lost 60 lbs. and was close to my goal. Then somewhere along the line I decided a beer here and there wouldn't hurt, then this, then that, and next thing you know I'm right back at square one. This WOL works - I think for me it makes it easier if I look at it like someone who is diabetic or allergic to shellfish would. This is how my body has to eat to be healthy - I'm "allergic" to high carbs - much like someone who is allergic to shellfish certainly wouldn't eat it, I can't have refined sugar, bread, flour, etc. For me this helps a lot in being able to say no to things, especially when you're first starting out. That, and once you start working the program, you feel so much better you wonder why you wanted that crap in the first place!
