| Great going Ladies!! lilblackdress- Wow! (for joining us one day early) valinerya- I have heard weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. U r right to focus on food. We all HAVE to get it correct and then we can bother about the next step. eissakha - Thank you. Together we will sail this through. I find being here in this forum truly helps me. So,how is the induction going for everyone. I must admit the headache has kicked in for me......but it gives me motivation that i must be going in the right direction. As the book mentioned, exercise is non-negotiable. I will start with working out at least 3 times a week. I am 1 down. I am curious to have a weigh in on Monday 25th when i wake up. The reason i say this coz it will motivate me not to fall off the wagon on weekend (as i usually do). Thinking that i have to post my weight will stop me from cheating and drinking. Let me know if anyone else agrees with this. Breakfast is a challenge for me. Since I have to get to work wicked early in the morning i had 2 boiled eggs in the morning. Somehow i feel very hungry. I would be interested to know what you guys eat for breakfast. Looking forward to hearing back from u soon.

| Kerri, We have to mentally strong. It is all in the head. Please do not feel afraid. U have to give 2 weeks to urself. Coming from a person like me, i know it is so bloody difficult. Strategize as what you r gonna do to get thru this. Eat some protien before u go out to these lunches and drink 2 glasses of water. Trust me if u r full u wont be tempted by food. Search for legal options there and stick to them. And lastly, if everything fails, and u feel like u r just about to give up......just make some excuse and run out of there! Let me know how it goes. | Today for breakfast, I had 4 slices bacon, 3 breakfast sausages (1.5g carbs for all of that meat) and 2 eggs, along with 1/2 cup cucumber. Later this morning I had 1.7oz hard Cheddar cheese. Not hungry, but my brain is telling me it wants some bagels or muffins or something. I know that's part of it, so I'm steadfastly ignoring it, as it should get better soon. I hope your headache gets better soon Tania! Means you're on the right track though! |

| Welcome Kathie - wouldn't you know the day I start we have pizza free to staff at my work, but I was good and went and got a salad and ate that. We are getting quite the team started, this is so exciting. Yes I started early, no time like the present!! I remember last time being so worried about carb intake I would dream I was eating pasta or bread and be all worried and then wake up phew it was a dream. I was so committed the first time I did it for the first year of the three years I did low carb that I want to feel that committment again. This time will be harder as I am living closer to my parents now and there is lots of temptations and such that arise from impromptu gatherings and such. But I can do it. We are in the process of having our house redone after water damage so once that is back to normal I am going to get the Wii fit out again. |

| Hi lilblackdress - I have started today as well. I always have an excuse not to start....so I just said the heck with it. I have a get together this weekend with my girlfriends, so that is going to be a problem....I have to just stick with it, but I know there are going to be drinks which lead to eating carbs the next day. So I may just have to stop in and say hello and then be on my way....if not, it won't be good.....Wish me luck. I really have to lose this weight....Good job avoiding the pizza today!!! Keep up the good work...

| Well, I feel a bit foolish. I was referred to as one of the ladies. I am actually a guy (the picture is a fat guy). I was cracking up. Anyways, as much as I wanted to eat Chinese today, I went and had a salad. I actually feel full so good for now. I will drink an Atkins shake and lots of water until dinner time. | Well it sure sounds like we are all starting out very strong and committed... Well this is the end of day 2.. ![]() Tania, why not try a LC shake for breakfast, you can be so creative and drink it on the way to work.. The mock danish is pretty quick..Grab a few slices of ham or make the ham roll ups the night before and you can eat in the car....
