| Don't eat off plan. Make this the last time you go on Atkins.

| Well started on Monday 10-19-09 at 344 lbs, weight in Sunday 10-25-09 @ 341 lbs. Not bad for the week with a few minor falls.....The toughest part is dealing with the headaches, and a birthday I went to I ate off the plan... The weekends are tough to because I have maintained a schedule when I am at work and work keeps me busy. When I am off and I am home not much to do.....

| Joe, is that all you eat? You did not write amounts (for anything other than eggs), but it looks like very little food to me. Also, I would eat real food for lunch instead of a shake. Drinking a shake won't teach you how to choose nutritious foods for your diet. Another reason why the shake is not a good choice is because Atkins is a high fat diet... while that shake is very high in protein. You need more veggies too. Broccoli is fine to eat, but choose a variety of vegetables from both veggie lists. Depriving your body of nutrition is not only bad for your overall health, but it can affect your weight loss too. These are the Rules of Induction: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What are the Rules of Induction?) And this is the Acceptable Foods List: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?) I would suggest that you also re-read DANDR 2002. The sticky threads at ADBB are nice, but they are not a substitute for the book.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!" | Hi Joe, Any loss is great! The headaches were the hard part for me too! They took forever to go away. I agree with you that it's easy to stick to a plan at work, but it's harder on the weekend. Too many temptations around the house! Try to get some induction friendly snacks in the house so you can just grab and go. How you doing on drinking your water? Hope you have a great week! Michelle |

| Thanks Georgina- Thanks for the info..I eat small because I have a lap band and I do still have some restrictions when I eat.. So my food intake is limited, but I do take supplements. Sometimes I do the LC drinks because its convenient ( because of my job ) and I am not that hungry, but find its the best way for me to get some protein in. My biggest problem was Icecream- So if I avoid it I will do good. Thanks Michelle - First week seem rough, starting the second on monday...so I think it will be better.

| Hang in there, joe. I hear you about the weekends... that's my downfall as well. In fact, this weekend was a tough one for me as well, but back to the grindstone! I think I will do a 5 mile run/walk today, to punish myself.
