Default back again...

hello, made a couple of posts here before - but fell off the wagon. Now i'm back on, for a week now. I'm going to weigh myself today for the first time in a long time since doctor visits, etc where i just look the other way haha...

anyway, im feeling good now, my diet is crap but i think its within the parameters...

decaf tea with splenda... atkins bar, once a morning, a couple heads of celery a week, green peppers, grilled chicken in salad with a LIGHT spattering of ranch dressing, the occaisional cheesburger, no bun, no ketchup... tuna, and a couple of trouble items i think:

redskin spanish peanuts (lowest carb count i could find but a handful a day. A small handful. Still, probably not the best for the induction phase, but i need a snack!)

coffee in the morning, with nondairy creamer (its pretty low carb) and splenda... Something tells me the caffeine is bad.

Last night i had diet coke with vodka (one of em) these used to be just fine when i was having major success (over 100lbs) with atkins. But, i know the aspartame is not good!

My problem is, i dont cook yet. I have been soooo lethargic in the past due to depression meds and overall sadness, that i have built this pattern of non cooking. I am a 3.960 student in college, and regularly work, but for some reason im lazy in this regard. I used to not be, but its a pattern ive built. SO i have to get out of it.

I have a foreman grill, i might start with that.

im gonna look for some easy meal suggestions.

thanks, and hopefully i stay on at least for the 2 weeks. After that, I know it gets much easier.

You could have some "real" food instead of the Atkins bar, you know...

Not allowed on Induction.

but i need a snack!
Everything from the Acceptable Induction Foods list can be a snack.

Doesn't matter that it's "pretty low carb". It's not allowed on Atkins. Did you check the ingredients? Likely it has corn syrup and some trans fats.

Some people drink coffee and are fine with it.

Alcohol is not allowed on Induction.

I misread that. I read "crap" as in, "I am unhappy with my diet".

Use real cream instead.

No "fakes" on Atkins. Atkins is about real foods.

But why did you think real cream is not so good?

Just trying to understand...

Yes.

Are you reading Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002) so that you know what's acceptable and how Atkins works?

Interesting since Atkins puts out bars that are quite "fake" hehe...

real cream seemed to have more carbs.
