    WHAT EXCUSE DO YOU HAVE FOR
    NOT EATING
    THE PIES, THE CAKES, THE CANDY AND THE CARB LADEN FOOD
    THAT MADE EVERYONE OF US OVERWEIGHT?



    A note I have on one of my cupboard doors:

    Sugar = Insulin = Weight Gain!


    Which is exactly what is happening right now as I eat higher carb foods for my tender stomach. ...grrr!... SO cannot wait to get back on Atkins fulltime!!

      My excuses for not eating crap:

      1) I've NEVER felt this good about myself, this in-control.
      2) I don't want to ever be asked "how far along are you?" again!
      3) I don't want to be told I have "such a a pretty face."
      4) I want my weight and my body to simply be what enables me to live a good life, not a constant source of frustration, worry, and disappointment.
      5) My final excuse... NOTHING tastes as good as THIS feels!

        #1. Europe. I want to travel and it is easier to do if you can fit into those tiny airplane seats, along with being able to walk up and down all those historical sites without dying.

        #2. Looks - I'd like to be able to wear a swimsuit (one piece is fine) without fearing that some jerk would take my picture and put it up on one of those hateful websites.

        #3.For myself. I'm just not happy with myself, so I want to do everything I can to feel better - emotionally and physically.

          I had a few months of emotional eating after my father died. To me, that was a great excuse to veer off plan. I kept telling myself that it's okay, I can get right back on track. So, after a few months I realize it's not okay. I have been eating this way for years, and years so frankly, there is no excuse.

          Now, my excuse for not eating improperly is that this IS my WOE. I don't care what others think of the way I eat, this is what works and makes me feel good.

            1) Whatever is tempting me, I've had before or something similar. It's not going to taste any better than it did last time. Not only will I be disappointed in the way it tastes, but I'll be disappointed in myself, feel like crud and set my efforts back at least a couple of days.

            2) I don't NEED sweets, bread, potatoes, or any other illegal food item. I do, however, need to get into my smaller wardrobe for financial and emotional reasons.

            3) I'm soooooo sick of constantly rearranging my clothes and my body so that my fat is less obvious. I'm constantly shifting my body when I sit, tugging down my shirt, plucking at a sleeve.........

            4) I need to set a better example for my daughter. At age 5 she already has a sweet tooth and eats for enjoyment rather than sustenance. That scares the living **** out of me.

              101 excuses but I'll only write my top 10. Here they go......

              10. To wear a bathing suit without nothing else on top.
              9. To wear sleeveless tops for the first time in my life.
              8. To tuck in my tops and show off my "not too bad butt"...LOL
              7. To not ruin all of my pants from the inner thigh part as my legs rub against each other. (Does this happen to anyone else?)
              6. To be able to see my neck and wear cute little necklaces.
              5. To stop praying the people next to me in the plane are skinny so we can fit. (Especially when it's me in the middle)
              4. To not give my hubby an excuse to call me a pig ever again...that one time really hurt! (He apologized afterwards, but i'll never forget that)
              3. To keep my weight off once an for all. I've lost tons of weight before but never been able to keep it off.
              2. To stop thinking about food 24/7
              1. To be free and not let my weight control my emotions, my activities, my decisions, my thoughts, my present, my future.......my whole life!

                What excuse do I have for not eating what made me fat?
                1. I'm in ketosis, I can't mess that up for a few minutes of pleasure.
                2. I want to be able to cross my legs like a lady instead of a guy.
                3. I want to prove that I can accomplish a goal and that I do have some self-control
                4. That stuff makes me feel bad
                5. I'm looking too good and feeling too good to be tempted by that garbage.
                6. Hey, my belly is smaller than my boobs!
                7. I want to wear my dancing boots again.
                8. I want my kids to be proud of me
                9. I don't want to have to take medicine for blood pressure or diabetes
                10. I want to live long enough to be annoying to my children.

                    - I want to play pool again without aches in my back or worrying about who's looking at my abundant backside.
                    - I want to get a breast reduction when I have lost my weight
                    - I want to be able to keep up with my kids
                    - I don't want to be the fat mom
                    - I don't want to ever have to turn down any fun thing with family or friends because I don't have anything to wear or because I know I can't keep up.
                    - I don't want to be the butt of jokes
                    - I want to wear my Tommy boots again!!!
                    - I want to look hot!

                      1. I am on Day 110 of my re-start on Atkins and I have been cheat-free. I refuse to break my streak!

                      4. I am a full-blown recovering carb-addict. If I have just a single bite of crap, there is the potential for tragedy.

                          my excuse is I'm tired of being tired. I'm tired of taking this medication for type II diabetes that makes me sick. I wwant to keep up my energy.

                            2. I love not hearing my thighs go swish swish.
                            3. I don't look good in a muu-muu.
                            4. I'd rather feel energized like I do now than feel fatigued and lazy all day like I used to.
                            5. Because I've worked too damn hard for too long to quit now.
