  • Bloodshot eyes! Help...

Hello....I am just wrapping up day 9 of induction. My feelings last week were a litte fatigue and headaches, slight nausea, but now I am past that, and i feel MUCH better. However today I looked in the mirror and I saw awful red veins all over the whites of my eyes. I have NEVER seen this in my eyes before. Ther only thing I have changed is my diet! I am getting at least 7 hours of sleep every night so I am not tired. I 27 and pretty healthy overall. THoughts? Maybe it
's something else entirely,...I just thought I would ask here though because the only thing I had changed was my diet. Anyway I lifted my eyelid so i could see further back into my eye (sorry for the graphicness haha) and sure enough it looks like my whole eyeball had red creepy crawly veins all over it, both eyes, and the are dark enough that I saw them from a distance when i glanced into the mirror.

I woke up the other day and noticed my eyes were very red but then again I get this from time to time and so I am sure mine is not from doing Atikins! I have never asked the doc about it and thought it might be due to me being diabetic but the eye specialist said my veins are excellent for having diabetes. Johnny

I don't know how it is in Florida (that's where you are, right?) but here in Massachusetts, everyone and their brother is suffering from allergies right now. It's really bad. People are taking their kids to the doctor because they think they have strep throat, but it's all allergy related.

        Could that be it?

Do you wear contacts? With the allergies that Effie just mentioned, I have had a horrible time this year and my contacts (or something else) has scratched my eyes causing this. Had to wear glasses for several days.

            Hope you feel better!
