  • Weight loss is not linear.

I know there is another post under the induction forum for the same topic. Just wanted to share the following graph with other users here.

I have been tracking my progress closely through different applications like Fitday, tickerfactory and excel. This is a graph showing the weekly loss rate I had during the course of 11 weeks on this WOE, starting from induction in Nov 13th, 2007 and till today Feb 2nd, 2008.

Graph as you see has it's ups and downs, so your weight loss may slow down or speed up depends really on many factors, most of all your body itself, your carbs intake, your calories intake, cheats, and many others. I hope this gaph helps other users in the forum to have better understanding of how things work.

Re: Weight loss is not linear.

Btw, this is not lbs/week loss for every week. It is the overall average lbs/week loss across the whole Atkins WOE period.

So, for example if the total lbs lost were 15 lbs after the 4th week, and then no lbs loss during the 5th week, that doesn't mean week #5 will show up on the graph as "0". The average will be calculated for the previous 5 weeks on the WOE with a total lets say 15 bls lost since the WOE started, which means the average lbs/week loss during the first 5 weeks is 15lbs/5weeks = 3lbs/week.
