    Re: Zoloft

weight gain on Zololft has to do with your liver proteins and is determined by your genetics which is why some do and some don't. if you gained weight on it before then you will have that tendency no matter what weight loss plan you follow. Low carbing will help you mimimize that weight gain issue as you slow weight eating right and doing the exercise part of your Atkins.

If you didn't gain weight on it before then it will not effect your Atkins

Yani- If you're suffering from PPD, WHO CARES if it puts a few pounds on you or makes you lose slower for a bit! Emotionally healthy will translate into better physical AND mental health decisions for you, right?!

First things first. Handle the PPD issues - and if that means taking meds that slow you down, then so be it. You're not going to do yourself or your family justice if you're not up to parr. As you're on the road to handling that issue, address the eating issues too. It doesn't have to be a one or the other type of gig....you can have the best of both worlds - the second just might take a bit longer to get in line.

In the meantime, journal, talk, yell, but communicate and get it off your chest and the weight off your shoulders. It helps!

        Hang in there!
