  • Do you need a Mentor?

Are you struggling with understanding the rules of Induction or planning your menus?
Have you found it too hard to stay with your stage of Atkins and feel afraid you will give up and go back to your old ways?
Do you feel you would like to be able to call on an individual more experienced member of ADBB for advice or encouragement as well as read and post to the forum threads?

Following several requests on the various forums I have ‘enrolled’ a few experienced Atkineers who have agreed to act as Mentors for one or more of you.

Here is what they are willing to do to help you on your Atkins journey:
Mentors are here to provide support and to help point you in the right direction. It is not expected of them to teach you everything you need to know about the Atkins WOL.
It is their duty to encourage and support you throughout your weight-loss journey. By keeping in touch with you and any other 'mentees' allocated to their care they can create a powerful support group and help you all to learn from one another.
It is your duty to make sure you've done your homework, research and planning.
Remember, Mentors do have a life outside the boards, so before PMing your
Mentor with any questions, try using one of many resources posted as Stickies and Announcements on this board that will help answer many of your questions.
You can also use the "Search" button at the top of the page to see if it has been answered here already, as well as posting your questions on the relevant forums.

Be sure you PM your Mentor with progress reports from time to time. Include everything from weight lost to cheats. It's important for you to be honest to yourself, as well as to your Mentor. We can only help when we know the facts.

It will also be helpful to you to stay in touch with your group members to pool experiences and encourage each other.
If you feel that this kind of support is for you, then send me a private message now by clicking on my name at the top of this message and selecting ‘Send a private message to Elizellen’
I need to know your name (obviously!!) and where you live (so I can tell what time-zone you are in, to try and match those in the same geographical area if possible.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
