    Okay so the Basic 3 has all the B vitamins, and plenty of them.

    1.)It is very low on potassium so I guess I should get that?

    2.)Chromium definately b/c it helps w/ insulin receptors and I need all the help I can get. I am on depo and one of the side effects is insulin resistance (and I havent been losing) so I am hoping that this will help!! I will take 500 additional b/c there is 300 in the Basic 3...and Dr A says max 1000mcg.

    3.)L-Carnitine...1500 mg...is what Dr A says for average weight loss. What do you think?? (OMG it's expensive!)

    4.)Co_enzyme Q10....100mg

    5.)And get the Omega 3 and take my Primrose.

    Do you think that is good???

      OK, with L-carnitine, yes, it is expensive, but the question is do you really need to take 1500-2000 gm a day? Depends! If you're truly doing Atkins correctly with the amounts of fats/protein/carb ratio AND you're exercising because exercise is NOT an option, but you're still having issues with weightloss, then yes, adding L-carnitine can help you break that plateau. However, a cheaper alternative would be to exercise at a higher intensity and/or for a longer period of time. Otherwise, Atkins recommends only 500 mg to 1 gram for preventive measures.

      If money is an issue, of your list, I would remove the CoQ 10 for now and just focus on your other supplements. Potassium supplements are good for you and thankfully, they are inexpensive compared to others. Your regimen looks good so far!

                  Doing mostly good with mine. I forgot to take my vitamins on Saturday night. And last night when I got up at 1 to pee, I remembered I hadn't taken my evening doses and went and took them then!

                    Arrrrrrrrrrrgh I did NOT take vitamins on Saturday and Sunday. I went out of town and I even packed each day's worth in a little baggie and put them in my bag, but did I remember to take them? NOOOO. I'm back on track today, though.

                            Took my supplements today.

                            js, I take a lot of different vitamins, mostly geared for skin issues (I have psoriasis), arthritis, and cardiovascular disease. The amounts that I take are A LOT higher than what most people take for just overall good health. In general, I take individual B vitamins, multivitamins, flaxseed oil , L-glutamine, vit C crystals, glucosamine sulfate, calcium/magnesium/zinc, L-carnitine, and many others.

                            I just added fish oils, but I only take it once a day (at lunch) since I take flaxseed oil 2-3x/day. I'm experimenting to see if I can see a difference with adding fish oil for a month or two.
