Mitzi, it is going to be OK. It was a rough week for lots of us. The holidays throw the whole routine off. I actually gained a little myself. It happens. You have the same great attitude and determination and this is a brand new week. Hang in there, you are going to be fine!!! So, here is your hug!

      You awesome people!

Thank you so much for your supportive energy. While I knew that you would treat me with understanding, the wild thought did cross my mind, for a moment, to hide my bad weigh day here on the board... to pretend that it didn't happen, and I would just try to get back down to goal without anyone knowing what happened. But then it occured to me, that is the very kind of behavior that could get me into trouble. I don't want to hide what I eat, and I don't want to lie about my weight. And I know that it is safe here... it is just humiliating for a perfectionist like me to admit that something has gone askew. But, I will turn this little glitch into an opportunity... a lesson learned. Thank you for being here.

      Menu and Totals for today:

Pre-Breakfast - Atkins Chocolate Royale Shake

      Breakfast - MUP with almonds

Lunch - 1/2 of a smoked, cornish game hen; 130g jicama

Dinner - Fresh shrimp sauteed in butter and garlic and 1/2 cup of Hunt's No Sugar Added Italian Sauce poured over 2 cups of spaghetti squash

      Fitday Totals:

Ah, I need to buy a new bottle of ketosticks. I haven't used them in a while but it would be nice to see the remains of Thanksgiving burn off.

On semi induction right now. Going off plan for Thanksgiving worked out ok for me (no psycho carb-cravings) but leaving ketosis made me sooooooooo hungry! I have really upped my fat/protein and lowered my carbs since Monday in an effort to tame that down.

Breakfast: 2 egg omelette with mushrooms, cheese and ham, decaf w/ splenda
Lunch: "salad" (cukes, onions, mushrooms, peppers, no lettuce) w/ scoop of tuna salad. Freakish hunger finally subsiding.
              Din: TBD
Snack: 1oz cheddar cheese, decaf w/ splenda

Hey all, if you haven't visited, I have a poll going in the Main Atkins Forum. Stop by if you have not yet. Thanks!

I was a bad boy last night. My wife took me out for my birthday to Lawry's Prime Rib Restaurant. OK, the prime rib was legal. I skipped the mashed potatoes, and had asparagus instead with bernaise sauce. I was alright so far. Even the creamed horseradish was OK. Then we had merlot with our meal, some yorkshire pudding (which I think was mostly egg with a little flour in it), and for dessert we split a chocolate souffle (again, I think it was mostly egg, a little flour, but a whole lot of sugar!!!) It was good though. Then at home a little slice of blue cheese and a glass of Brunello di Montepulcino. The calories were off the chart, and I am sure that the carbs were too.

Today however, I am back on the straight and narrow.

                  Well, happy belated birthday, Don!

I love prime rib with creamy horseradish. Mmmmm. Just get right back to plan today, that's all you have to do.

                        Mitzi's got her groove back.

I didn't get on the scale this morning, because I want to give my stepping back a full week before I check the scale. BUT, I am feeling really skinny again and have been wearing my size 4 Gap Long and Lean jeans all day. (Those are 6's that I'm wearing in my siggie photo) I can't keep my wedding ring on... it wasn't nearly as loose a few days ago.

                        What a relief!

Looks like everyone got back on the wagon pretty quickly this week.

Break: 2 egg omelette with mushrooms, onions, ham & cheese. Decaf w/splenda
Lunch: salsad w/ scoop of tuna or chicken salad
dinner: Low carb double cheeseburger from Mickey D's (class tonight)

                            What's chicken jalfrezi?

                            Muffy

ps - had my first Muffin In a Minute!!! They are awesome! They are delicious! They are the most accurately muffin-y thing I have had since being on Atkins. Yay MIMs.
